The “View Component Warranty Information” page appears.

The system displays the following field:

Date Format

The format in which the date field is displayed. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component by default.

Warranty Reference details

The system displays the following fields in the "Warranty Reference Details" group box:

Warranty Reference #

The number identifying the component warranty reference document for which the details are displayed.

Status

The status of the component warranty which could be one of the following:

 
  • Fresh - the status of the component warranty after creation in the "Create Component Warranty" activity.

 
  • Cancelled - the status of the component warranty after cancellation in the "Confirm Component Warranty" activity.

 
  • Confirmed - the status of the component warranty after confirmation in the "Confirm Component Warranty" activity.

 
  • Expired - the status of the component warranty after it expires in the "Expire Component Warranty" activity.

Description

The textual description of the component warranty reference.

Warranty Source Details

The system displays the following in the “Warranty Source Details” group box:

Source

The source of the component for which the warranty is created. The system displays one of the following options:

 
  • Aircraft - indicates that the component for which the warranty is created is purchased along with an Aircraft.

 
  • Component - indicates that the component for which the warranty is created for a sub component of an Assembly

 
  • Blank – indicates that the component is purchased directly.

Aircraft Reg #

The registration number of the aircraft to which the component is associated. This field is displayed only when the source of the component is "Aircraft".

NHA Part #

The number identifying the parent part, which is otherwise called the next higher assembly. This field is displayed only when the source of the component is "Component".

NHA Serial #

The serial number of the NHA part to which the component is attached. This field is displayed only when the source of the component is "Component".

Ref. Document Type

The type of the reference document based on which the warranty is created. The system displays one of the following options:

 
  • Purchase Order - indicates that the warranty is created based on the purchase order.

 
  • Repair Order - indicates that the warranty is created based on the repair order.

 

  • MCR – Select this option to indicate that the warranty is created based on MCR.

 

  • Others - indicates that the warranty is created based on a document other than purchase order, repair order andMCR.

Ref. Document #

The number identifying the purchase order, repair order or MCR based on which the warranty is created.

GR #

The number identifying the goods receipt that triggered the component warranty in the “Goods Receipt” business component.

GR Date

The date on which the goods receipt was created.

Note: The warranty details for a new component can be entered into the system at the time of ‘Goods Receipt’ creation. The system displays the goods receipt details if the component warranty is triggered from the “Goods Receipt” business component.

Supplier #

The number identifying the supplier of the component.

Supplier Name

The name of the supplier.

Supplier Part #

The part number given for the component by the supplier.

Supplier Part Description

The textual description of the supplier part.

 The system displays the following fields in the "Component Details" group box:

Part #

The part to which the component belongs.

Serial #

The serial number of the component for which the warranty reference is created.

Component #

The number identifying the component for which the warranty reference is created.

ATA #

The ATA chapter to which the component belongs.

Component Type

The type of the component, which can be “Engine”, “APU”, “Landing Gear” or “Others”.

Part Description

The textual description of the part.

Component Family #

The number identifying the component family to which the component belongs.

The system displays the following field in the "Warranty Clause" group box:

Agreement #

The unique number identifying the warranty agreement .

  • Click the hyperlinked Agreement # to view the part warranty agreement information details.

The system displays the following fields in the "Warranty Clause" group box:

Amendment #

The unique number identifying the amendment.

Duration

The period after which the warranty elapses.

 

The time unit, which could be "Years", "Months", "Days" and "Weeks", is displayed alongside.

Warranty Type

The warranty type for the part, which could be "New", "OEM", "Overhaul", "Repair", "Ultimate Life" or "Mod".

 
  • New - indicates that the supplier gives the warranty

 
  • OEM - indicates that the OEM gives the warranty.

 
  • Overhaul - indicates that the supplier has given the warranty for overhaul.

 
  • Repair - indicates that the supplier has given the warranty for repair.

 

  • Ultimate Life – indicates that the supplier has given the warranty for the life of the component.

 

  • Mod – indicates that the warranty is given for the modification done on the component as suggested by MCR.

Warranty Begins On

The beginning of warranty for the component, which could be “Receipt Date” or “Installation Date”.

Warranty Category

The category of the component warranty reference.

Warranty Start Ref. Type

The reference type for the warranty start, which could be “Goods Receipt”, “Component Removal” or “Others”.

Warranty Start Ref. #

The number identifying the document reference, for the selected warranty start reference type.

Warranty Start Date

The date from which the warranty period starts for the component.

Warranty End Date

The date on which the warranty period ends for the component.

Comments

Any additional information pertaining to the warranty for the component.

Remarks

Any remark pertaining to the warranty reference created for the component.

Created By

The name of the user who created the component warranty reference.

Created Date

The date on which the component warranty reference was created.

Last Modified Date

The date on which the component warranty reference was last modified.

Confirmed By

The name of the user who confirmed the component warranty reference.

Confirmed Date

The date on which the component warranty reference was confirmed.

The warranty for a component is based on the reference documents such as “Purchase Order”, “Repair Order”, "MCR" or "Others". The system displays the type of the reference document and the number identifying the reference document.
