This page allows you to maintain the warranty details for the aircraft. Tell me more.

The “Maintain Aircraft Warranty Details” page appears.

The system displays the following field:

Date Format

The format in which the date field is displayed. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" set for the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component by default.

Agreement #

The unique number identifying the aircraft warranty agreement. (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the agreement number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the agreement numbers that are similar to the agreement number entered here.

Status

Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the aircraft warranty agreement. The system lists the options “Active” and “Inactive”. The system retrieves all the aircraft warranty agreements that are of the status selected here. By default, the system displays “Active”.

Aircraft Model #

The unique number identifying the model of the aircraft. (Alphanumeric, 20). You can enter the aircraft model number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the aircraft model numbers that are similar to the number entered here.

Supplier #

The unique code identifying the supplier of the aircraft for which you wish to maintain the aircraft warranty details. (Alphanumeric, 45). You can enter the supplier code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the supplier numbers that are similar to the number entered here.

Aircraft Reg #

The registration number of the aircraft. (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the aircraft registration number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the registration numbers that are similar to the code entered here.

Manufacturer Serial #

The code identifying the manufacturer serial number of the aircraft. (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the manufacturer serial number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the manufacturer serial numbers that are similar to the code entered here.

Warranty Type

Use the drop-down list box to specify the type of the warranty. The system lists the following options:

  • New - Indicates that the warranty is given by the supplier.

  • OEM - Indicates that the warranty given by the OEM.

  • Overhaul - Indicates that the warranty is given for the overhaul.

  • Repair - Indicates that the warranty is given for the repair.

  • Ultimate Life – Indicates that the warranty is given for entire life of the aircraft.

  • Mod – Indicates that the warranty is given for the modifications done.

The system retrieves the aircraft warranty reference documents that are of the type selected here. By default, the system leaves this field blank.

Supplier Class

Use the drop-down list box to specify the class to which the supplier belongs.  The system lists the options "Manufacturer", "Distributor", "Repair Agency", "Operator", "Service Provider" and "Others". The system retrieves the aircraft warranty details for the supplier of class specified here. By default, the system leaves this field blank.

The “Aircraft Warranty Details” multiline displays the details of all the aircraft warrant agreement records satisfying your search criteria.  The following field in the multiline is display-only:

Agreement #

The unique number identifying the aircraft warranty agreement.

Note that the system generates the agreement number based on the value selected in the “Numbering Type for Aircraft Warranty Agreement” drop-down list box, in the “Set Options” activity of the current business component.

Ref. Document #

The number identifying the reference document based on which the aircraft warranty is created. (Alphanumeric, 40). Data entry in this field is mandatory, if the reference document date is specified.

Ref. Document Date

The date of the reference document based on which the aircraft warranty is created. (Date Format). Data entry in this field is mandatory, if the reference document number is specified.  Ensure that this date is earlier than the system date.

Agreement Valid From Date

The date from which the aircraft warranty agreement is valid. (Date Format). Mandatory.

Agreement Valid To Date

The date until which the aircraft warranty agreement is valid. (Date Format). Mandatory. Ensure that this date is later than the “Agreement Valid From Date”.

Aircraft Reg #

The registration number of the aircraft. (Alphanumeric, 30). Ensure that the aircraft registration number specified here is valid as defined in the “Aircraft” business component.

Supplier #

The unique code identifying the supplier of the aircraft for which you wish to maintain the warranty details. (Alphanumeric, 45). Mandatory. Ensure that the supplier number entered here is “Active” as defined in the “Supplier” business component, if the “Agreement Valid To Date” is equal to or later than the system date and the status of the agreement is “Active”.

Help facility available.

The system displays the details of the supplier, if you select the Supplier # using Help. The following field is display-only:

Supplier Name

The name of the supplier of the aircraft for which you wish to maintain the warranty details.

Agreement Category

Use the drop-down list box to select the category to which the aircraft warranty agreement belongs. The system lists all the active agreement categories defined in the “Create Quick Code” activity of the current business component.

Warranty Type

Use the drop-down list box to specify the type of the warranty. Mandatory. The system lists the following options.

  • New - Indicates that the warranty is given by the supplier.

  • OEM - Indicates that the warranty given by the OEM.

  • Overhaul - Indicates that the warranty is given for the overhaul

  • Repair - Indicates that the warranty is given for the repair

  • Ultimate Life – Indicates that the warranty is given for entire life of the aircraft.

  • Mod – Indicates that the warranty is given for the modification done on the aircraft as suggested by MCR.

By default, the system leaves this field blank. Ensure that a value is selected in this field.

Status

Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the aircraft warranty agreement. The system lists the options “Active” and “Inactive”. By default, the system displays “Active”.

File Name

The file name of the document that contains the aircraft warranty details. (Alphanumeric, 256)..

Remarks

Any remarks regarding the aircraft warranty agreement. (Alphanumeric, 2000).

The system displays the following details of the user who created the details of the aircraft warranty:

Created By

The name of the user who created the aircraft warranty details.

Created Date

The date on which the aircraft warranty details were created.

Last Modified By

The name of the user who last modified the aircraft warranty details.

Last Modified Date

The date on which the aircraft warranty details were last modified.

Note: The system updates the system date as the “Created Date “ & “Last Modified Date” and the login user as the  “Created By “ &  “Last Modified By”.

Note: Ensure that at least one record is selected in the multiline.

Note: The system ensures that there exists only one aircraft warranty agreement in “Active” status for the supplier #, Warranty Type, Aircraft Reg #, Agreement Valid From Date and Agreement Valid To Date combination. The system does not allow creation of another agreement in the period within or overlapping with the existing agreement combination.

For example, if an agreement exists in “Active” status for the supplier – “Sup1”, Warranty Type – “New”, Agreement Valid From Date - 01/01/2007, Agreement Valid To Date - 01/01/2009 and Aircraft Reg # - “AC1”, the system allows creation of the agreement only after 01/01/2009 for the same Supplier, Warranty Type and Aircraft Reg #.
