Freeze Component Warranty Claim – A summary of the activity
This activity allows you to freeze a component warranty claim document. A warranty claim is freezed when the supplier agrees on the claim. Once freezed, the claim cannot be modified or revised.
After creation, the warranty claim is released to the supplier and the supplier sends his feedback regarding the claim. The airline operator can revise the claim details based on the feedback and freeze the claim.
In certain cases, the negotiations with the supplier regarding the claim may prove futile. You can pre-close the component warranty claim in such situations. This activity helps you to pre-close a claim that is in "Released" or "Pending Release" status.

The component warranty claim is freezed after the supplier agrees to settle the claim. The claim document in "Released" or "Pending Release" status can be freezed.
Select the warranty claim in the "Freeze Component Warranty Claim" page.
Click the "Freeze Claim" pushbutton to freeze the claim document.
Revise component warranty claim
You can revise claim document details before freezing it. The details of the claim document in "Released" or "Pending Release" can be revised.
Select the warranty claim in the "Freeze Component Warranty Claim" page.
Go to "Revise Component Warranty Claim Information" page.
Click the "Revise Claim" pushbutton to revise the claim details.
