Modifying intra-warehouse stock transfer
This page allows you to modify the details of the selected intra-warehouse stock transfer. Tell me more.
Select the “Edit Stock Transfer” link in the “Select Stock Transfer” page. Alternatively, select the hyperlinked stock transfer number in the multiline of the same page.
The “Edit Intra-warehouse Stock Transfer” page appears.
The system displays the following:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default. |
The system displays the following in the “Stock Transfer Information” group box:

Transfer Date |
The date of transfer of the intra-warehouse stock transfer (Date Format). The system displays the system date by default. |
Transfer Category |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the category to which the intra-warehouse stock transfer belongs . The system lists all the “Active” quick codes of the “Transfer Category” type, as defined in the “Create Quick Codes” activity of the current business component. Categories will be rearranged in alphabetical order, if the “Inactive“ category is attached to the stock transfer number. |

Part Type

The type of the part, which could be "Raw Material”, “Component”, “Expendable”, “Tool”, “Consumable”, ”Miscellaneous” or “Kit”, which is allowed for this transfer document. |

User Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the user status of the intra-warehouse stock transfer. The system lists all the “Active” quick codes of the “User Status” type, as defined in the “Create Quick Codes” activity of the current business component. The user-defined status will be rearranged in alphabetical order, if the “Inactive“ user status is attached to the stock transfer number. |

The textual description of the warehouse (Alphanumeric, 45). |
Enter the following in the Trading Partner Information.
Note: For stock transfer involving internal owned parts, you need not specify trading partner information.
Trading Partner Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the trading partner type for the stock transfer. The system displays "Supplier" and "Customer". |
Note: The above field becomes mandatory if you are to specify trading partner #.

The identification number of the trading partner. Help Facility available |
Note: Ensure that the trading partner type and trading partner number combination you specify is valid. This infers the following: 1) If the trading partner type is “Customer” the trading partner number must be a customer number. 2) If the trading partner type is “Supplier” the trading partner number must be a supplier number.
Note: Further, the customer number / supplier number that you specify must be valid and active defined in the Customer Master / Supplier Master.
Note: To create stock transfer, the trading partner (customer / supplier) must be mapped to a storage area / warehouse, defined in the Storage Administration business component.
Note: If the part control type of the part associated with customer / supplier is non-controlled, the storage areas/warehouse/zone/bin must be set to “Exclusive” for the trading partner in the Storage Administration business component.
Note: If the part is serial / lot controlled and associated with a specific customer / supplier, the trading partner must not be mapped to a storage area/warehouse/zone/bin in the Storage Administration business component.
The system displays the following on the selection of the trading partner number.

The number identifying the part involved in the intra-warehouse stock transfer (Alphanumeric, 40). This number must have been defined in the “Create Parts Main Information” activity of the “Part Administration” business component and must be in the “Active” status. Ensure that the part is mapped to the part type selected. |

Note: Ensure that the part associated with the “Part Type” is mapped to the warehouse selected as defined in the “Create Warehouse Information” activity of the “Storage Administration” business component.

Stock Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the stock status of the part to be transferred. Mandatory. The system displays the system defined as well as the user defined stock statuses mapped to transaction type "Stock Transfer”. |
Note: Ensure that this stock status is mapped to the part type of the part, as defined in the “Create User Defined Stock Status” activity of the “User-defined Stock Status” business component.
Quantity |
The number of units of the part which is to be transferred (Decimal). This field is mandatory against each part entered in the “Part #” field. |
Note: Fractions can be entered, only if the UOM has been set as “Allow fractions” in the “Create UOM” activity of the “Unit of Measurement Administration” business component.

The code entered must have been defined in the “Create Employee File” activity of “Employee Information” business component. The system displays the login user ID by default. Help facility available. |
Note: If the help facility is invoked, the system also displays the name of the employee associated, along with the employee code. |

The name of the employee who initiates the stock transfer to be modified (Alphanumeric, 150). The system displays the login user name by default. |

Note: Ensure that at least a row is entered in the multiline.
Ensure that the part having the same combination of stock status and condition is not duplicated.

Enter the following fields in the " Attachments" group box:
File Name |
The filename containing the document reference details. Help facility available. |
Select the “View Files” link at the bottom of the page to view the content of the file referenced in the field “File Name”.
Click “Edit Stock Transfer” pushbutton to save the details modified during the intra-warehouse stock transfer .
Note: This action is workflow-enabled. Notification messages can be sent and you can configure further processing of this document in the "Workflow Management" business component.
Click “Cancel Stock Transfer” pushbutton when the stock transfer is not required. Then, the status of the stock transfer changes to “Canceled”.
The system updates the status of the intra warehouse stock transfer as “Cancelled”.
Note: The cancelled document can not be taken for future transactions.
Note: This action is workflow-enabled. Notification messages can be sent as per the settings you have defined in the "Workflow Management" business component.
Check the box in the multiline to mark the part line number for deletion or to specify the zone and bin transfer details for the part line number.
Click the Delete icon in the toolbar above the multiline, to delete the part line number selected in the multiline.

To proceed, carry out the following
Select the “Edit WH Zone /Bin Details” at the bottom of the page, to modify the zone and bin details of the warehouse.
Select the “Edit References” link to record document reference details.
Select the “Upload Documents” link to upload documents/files associated with the intra-warehouse transfer into the common repository.
Select the “View Associated Doc. Attachments” link to view documents/files associated with the intra-warehouse transfer from the common repository.
Select the “Generate Part Barcode Label” link to generate barcode label for parts that you have selected in the “Part Information” multiline.
Modifying stock transfer for Intra Warehouse – An overview
This page allows you to modify the details of the selected intra-warehouse stock transfer. Stock transfers that are in the “Draft” and “Fresh” status can be modified. Details such as the transfer date, the quantity, the employee name and code can be modified. You can modify the category and user status of only those in the “Active” status.
You can also cancel the stock transfer when the stock transfer is not required. In this case the status will change to “Canceled”.

You are allowed to modify details such as category, user status, part information, employee name and date pertaining to the intra-warehouse stock transfer in the “Draft ” and “Fresh” status.
Select the stock transfer in the “Select Stock Transfer” page.
Go to the “Edit Intra-warehouse Stock Transfer” page.
Modify the details and click the “Edit Stock Transfer” pushbutton.
The modified Stock Transfer details are stored.
You can cancel the stock transfer, if the modifications need not be incorporated or when the stock transfer is not required.
Go to “Edit Intra-warehouse Stock Transfer” page.
Click the “Cancel Stock Transfer” pushbutton.
You can modify the name and code of the employee, who initiated the part that is to be transferred in the warehouse.

You can modify the reason for the stock transfer.
