Entering the serial number and lot number details of the part
This page allows you to enter the serial number and lot number details of the part,if the parts are serial number-controlled or lot number-controlled.
Select the “Edit Serial # / Lot # Details” link at the bottom of the “Edit WH Zone / Bin Details” page.
The “Edit Serial #/Lot # Details “ page appears.
The system displays the following in the “Stock Transfer Information” group box:
Stock Transfer # |
The number identifying the stock transfer containing parts, which are serial number-controlled or lot number-controlled. |
Stock Status |
The user-defined stock status of the stock transferred. |
Warehouse # |
The number identifying the warehouse in which the intra-warehouse stock transfer takes place. |
Warehouse Description |
The textual description of the warehouse. |
Part # |
The code identifying the part involved in the stock transfer |
Part Control Type |
The part control type, which could be serial number-controlled or lot number-controlled. |
Trading Partner Type |
The type of the trading partner, such as customer or supplier. |
Trading Partner # |
The identification number of the trading number. |
Trading Partner Name |
The name / description of the trading partner. |
Enter the following:
Line # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the line number of the stock transfer which contains the part for which you wish to enter the serial or lot number details. |
Click the “Get Details” pushbutton to retrieve the part details selected.
The system displays the following:
From WH – Zone # |
The number identifying the warehouse zone from where the stock is transferred |
From WH – Bin # |
The number identifying the warehouse bin from where the stock is transferred |
To WH – Zone # |
The number identifying the warehouse zone where the stock is received |
To WH - Bin # |
The number identifying the warehouse bin where the stock is received |
Transfer Quantity |
The quantity of stock transferred |
Enter the following in the “Storage Information” multiline:
Lot # |
A unique number identifying the lot number of the part (Alphanumeric, 40). |
Help facility available |

Note: If this field is left blank for a part, the system retrieves the lot number based on the serial number entered. |

Manufacturer Lot # |
The number identifying the lot number of the part issued by the manufacturer. Help facility available. |
Serial # |
A unique number identifying the serial number of the part (Alphanumeric, 40). Help facility available. |
Note: The lot number details must be entered, if the part is lot number-controlled and similarly the serial number details must be entered if the part is serial number-controlled or lot and serial controlled. |

Quantity |
The quantity of the stock transferred (Decimal). |
Remarks |
Additional comments pertaining to storage information (Alphanumeric, 255). |
Check the box beside the “Convert Document Status To Fresh”, to change the status of the document from “Draft” to “Fresh”.
Note: In case the “Convert Document Status To Fresh” box is checked, and if all the mandatory information is not updated, the status of the document will not be updated from “Draft” to “Fresh”.
The system updates the status of the stock transfer document from “Draft” to “Fresh”, only if the “Convert Document Status to Fresh” box is checked and all the mandatory information for the document is entered.
Click the “Edit Serial # / Lot # Details” pushbutton, to update the parts that are serial number-controlled and lot number-controlled.
The system displays the following in the “Record Statistics” group box:

The name of the user, who created the intra-warehouse stock transfer |
Created Date |
The date on which the intra-warehouse stock transfer was created |
Last Modified By |
The name of the user, who last modified the intra-warehouse stock transfer |
Last Modified Date |
The date on which the intra-warehouse stock transfer was last modified |
To proceed, carry out the following
Select the “Generate Part Barcode Label” link to generate barcode label for parts that you have selected in the “Storage Information” multiline.

Define serial number and lot number details
You can enter a suitable serial number and lot number for a part based on the line number selected.
In the “Line #” field, select the line number of the stock transfer, which contains the part for which you wish to enter the serial or lot number details.
