Specifying the warehouse zone and bin details
This page allows you to transfer stock across warehouse to its zones and bins. Tell me more.
Select the “Edit WH Zone/Bin Details” link at the bottom of the “Edit Inter warehouse Stock Transfer” page.
The “Edit WH Zone / Bin Details” page appears.
Note: You can enter the warehouse zone and bin details , only if the Transfer Type is "Specific". However, if the "Stock Updation Mode” is “Manual” and the Part Type Control is "Serial / Lot Controlled", you can launch this page if the Transfer Type is not "Specific".
The system displays the following:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default. |
The system displays the following in the “Stock Transfer Information” group box:

The organization unit from where the required stock is to be issued |

The number identifying the warehouse from where the stock is to be issued |

Trading Partner Type |
The type of the trading partner, such as Customer or Supplier. |
Trading Partner # |
The identification number of the trading partner. |
Trading Partner Name |
The name or description of the trading partner. |
Enter the following:
Line # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the line number of the part of the inter warehouse stock transfer, to specify the zone and bins. The system lists the line numbers that satisfy the for which the Transfer Type is set to “Specific” in the “Create Inter Warehouse Stock Transfer” or” Create Inter Warehouse Stock Transfer page.”. |
Click the “Get Details” pushbutton to retrieve the part details and storage information.

The number identifying the warehouse, in which stock will be received |

Part Control Type |
The control type of the part ,, which could be serial number-controlled or lot number-controlled. |
Transfer Quantity |
The quantity of the stock involved in the inter-warehouse stock transfer. The quantity is retrieved from the “Edit Inter warehouse Stock Transfer” page |
Stock Status |
The user-defined stock status of the part, which is to be transferred |

Enter the following:
From WH – Zone # |
A unique number identifying the zone in the warehouse from where the stock is transferred (Alphanumeric, 10). This number should be unique to the warehouse and as defined in the “Create Warehouse Information” activity of the “Storage Administration” business component. |

A unique number identifying the bin in the warehouse, from where the stock is transferred (Alphanumeric, 10). This number should be unique to the zone. Ensure that the zone is of the “Normal” type. |

Note: When you specify “Automatic” as the Stock Updation Mode, the system does not allow stock transfer if: 1) The trading partner is not mapped to the storage area specified in the “To WH-Zone #” field for lot or serial controlled parts.) 2) The storage area specified in the “To WH-Zone #” field is not marked “Exclusive” for the trading partner for none-controlled parts. |

To WH – Bin # |
A unique number identifying the bin in the warehouse, where the stock is received after transfer (Alphanumeric, 10). This number should be unique to the zone. Ensure that the zone is of the “Normal” type Help facility available. |
Note: Ensure that the zone is of the “Normal” type for the stock transfer from the warehouse zone to bin.
Note: If the “From Warehouse #” is “Free”, the “From WH – Zone #” and “From WH – Bin #” fields must be left blank. If the “To Warehouse #” is “Free”, the “To WH – Zone #” and “To WH – Bin #” fields must be left blank.
Quantity |
The quantity of the part transferred (Decimal). The quantity must be positive and greater than zero. |
Ensure that the quantity of the part is available in the specified stock status in the “From WH-Zone # – From WH-Bin #” field if the zone is of the “Normal” type. This facilitates the transfer of stock from Zone/bin to other zone/bin, according to the need. |
Note: Ensure that at least a row is entered in the multiline.
The total “Quantity” must not exceed the “Transfer Quantity” specified in the corresponding line number.
Check the box beside the “Convert Document Status To Fresh”, to change the status of the document from “Draft” to “Fresh”.
Note: In case the “Convert Document Status To Fresh” box is checked, and the required information is not updated, the status of the document will not be updated from “Draft” to “Fresh”.
Click the “Edit WH Zone / Bin Details” pushbutton, to update the warehouse zones and bins details for the stock transfer.
The system updates the status of the stock transfer document from “Draft” to “Fresh”, only if the “Convert Document Status to Fresh” box is checked and if all the mandatory details are entered.
The status of the inter-warehouse stock transfer is “Draft”, when you modify the quantity of any part in zone and bin and if that part is serial controlled/lot controlled, or when a new “Line #” is added for a part, which is serial controlled/lot controlled. For these parts, the Serial / Lot Details must be entered, if the stock updation mode is set to “Automatic”.

Select the “Edit Zone/Bin wise Serial # / Lot # Details” link at the bottom of the page, to specify the serial # / Lot # details of the parts, which are to be transferred, if the part is serial / lot controlled.
Specifying the warehouse zone and bin details – An overview
This page allows you to transfer stock across warehouse to its zones and bins.
Details can be entered in this page only if the "Stock Updation Mode" of the document is set to “Automatic” and both the From & To warehouses is not “Free”.
The locations – Zone/bin from which the part is to be transferred and the locations – Zone/bin to which the part is to be transferred can be specified.

Set the status of the inter warehouse stock transfer as “Fresh”
Define zones for inter warehouse stock transfer
The zones are defined for the warehouse of the “Normal” storage type. These zones must be of the “Normal” or “Free” type. For zones of the “Normal” type, bins must be defined within the zone for storing the parts.
Enter the “From WH – Zone #” field to specify the orgin of the parts specified in the inter warehouse stock transfer .
Enter the “To WH – Zone #” field to specify the destination of the parts specified in the inter warehouse stock transfer.
Define bins for inter warehouse stock transfer
A bin is the area in the zone that can be specifically allocated for the storage of a particular part. You can define bins for zones of the “Normal” type.
Enter the “From WH – Bin #” field to specify the origin of the parts specified in the inter warehouse stock transfer .
Enter the “To WH – Bin #” field to specify the destination of parts specified in the inter-warehosue stock transfer.
Set the status of the inter warehouse stock transfer as “Fresh”
You can change the status of the inter warehouse stock transfer from “Draft” to “Fresh”, so that you can send the document for confirmation.
Check the “Convert Document Status to Fresh” box below the multiline, to assign the “Fresh” status to the inter warehouse stock transfer. .
Click the “Update WH Zone / Bin Details” pushbutton.
