This page allows you to enter the serial number and lot number details of the part which are "Serial Controlled" and/or "Lot Controlled", based on the part line number and the zone and bin selected. Tell me more.

The “Edit Zone/Bin wise Serial #/Lot # Details “ page appears.

Note: You can enter the serial and lot number details of the transferred part in the zone or the bin in the following situations; a) The Stock Updation Mode is "Manual", the Transfer Type is "Specific" and the Part Control Type of the transferred part is “Serial Controlled” and/or “Lot Controlled”. b) The Stock Updation Mode is "Automatic", the Transfer Type is "Specific", the Part Control Type of the transferred part is “Serial Controlled” and/or “Lot Controlled” and the From and To warehouses are Free.

The system displays the following:

Date Format

The format in which the date fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default.

  The system displays the following in the “Stock Transfer Information” group box:

Stock Transfer #

The number identifying the stock transfer number

Stock Status

The user-defined stock status of the stock transfer

From Stocking Point

The organization unit which, issues the stock in the inter warehouse stock transfer

From Warehouse #

The number identifying the warehouse from where the stock is to be issued

To Stocking Point

The organization unit which, receives the stock in the inter warehouse stock transfer.

To Warehouse #

The number identifying the warehouse which receives the stock

Part #

The number identifying the part

Part Control Type

The part control type, which could be serial number-controlled and/or lot number-controlled.

Trading Partner Type

The type of the trading partner, such as Customer or Supplier.

Trading Partner #

The identification number of the trading partner.

Trading Partner Name

The name or description of the trading partner.

Line #

Use the drop-down list box to select the line number of the zone or bin from the ”Edit WH-Zone / Bin Details” page, which contains the  Serial Controlled / Lot controlled part. The system lists the Line #s for which the Transfer Type is set to “Specific” in the “Create Inter Warehouse Stock Transfer” or” Create Inter Warehouse Stock Transfer page”.  

The system displays the following:

From WH – Zone #

The warehouse zone number from where the stock is to be issued

From WH – Bin #

The warehouse bin number from where the stock is to be issued

To WH – Zone #

 The warehouse zone number where the stock is to be received

To WH - Bin #

The warehouse bin number where the stock is to be received.

Transfer Quantity

The total quantity of the stock transferred between those Zones/bins

Stock Status

 The stock status of the stock transferred

Lot #

A unique number identifying the lot number of the part (Alphanumeric, 40).  If “From Warehouse #” is “Free” and the part is lot-controlled, the lot number must exist in the specified “From Warehouse #”.

 

If “From Warehouse #” is “Normal” and “From WH-Zone #” is ”Free”, the lot number must exist in the specified “From WH-Zone #”.  If “From Warehouse #” is “Normal” and “From WH-Zone #” is ”Normal”, the lot number must exist in the specified “From WH-Zone #” and “From WH-Bin #”.

Manufacturer Lot #

The number identifying the lot number of the part issued by the manufacturer.

Serial #

Serial # A unique number identifying the serial number of the part (Alphanumeric, 40).  If “From Warehouse #” is “Free” and the part is serial-controlled, the serial number must exist in the specified “From Warehouse #”.

 

If “From Warehouse #” is “Normal” and “From WH-Zone #” is ”Free”, the serial number must exist in the specified “From WH-Zone #”.  If “From Warehouse #” is “Normal” and “From WH-Zone #” is ”Normal”, the serial number must exist in the specified “From WH-Zone #” and “From WH-Bin #”.

Quantity

The quantity of the stock transfered (Decimal).  Ensure that the total quantity does not exceed the “Transfer Quantity”.  The quantity must be positive and greater than zero.

Note: Fractions can be entered, only if the UOM has been set as “Allow fractions” in the “Create UOM” activity of the “Unit of Measurement Administration” business component.

Remarks

Additional comments pertaining to storage information (Alphanumeric, 255).

Note: Ensure that the serial number for a part is not repeated in the multiline.

Only if the part is both Lot # and Serial # number-controlled duplication of the Lot # is allowed.

Note: In case the “Convert Document Status To Fresh” box is checked, and if all the mandatory information is not updated, the status of the document will not be updated from “Draft” to “Fresh”.

The system updates the status of the inter warehouse stock transfer document from “Draft” to “Fresh”, only if the “Convert Document Status to Fresh” box is checked and all the mandatory information is entered.

The status of the  inter warehouse stock transfer is “Draft”, when you modify the quantity of the part which are serial number-controlled or lot number-controlled or when a new “Line #” of the part is added.

The status of the inter warehouse stock transfer is “Fresh”, when all the details are entered in the stock transfer transaction. It can be also be attained when the transaction in the “Draft” status is modified.

The system displays the following in the “Record Statistics” group box:

Created by

The name of the user who created the inter warehouse stock transfer

Created Date

The date on which the inter warehouse stock transfer  was created.

Last Modified By

The name of the user who last modified the inter warehouse stock transfer

Last Modified Date
