Disposition Review - An overview

Disposition Review - A summary of the activity

Disposition is defined as disbursement or delivery of stock to sources of demand. In this method of planning, material movements anticipated in the various business processes/functions across the enterprise are tracked. Material movements could be caused due to transactions such as Purchase receipts and Maintenance Issues. ‘Demand’ for an item arises due to any upcoming maintenance event, which requires that item, and the ‘Receipt’ comes from purchasing. All expected future receipts and demands are maintained in a repository. For each demand, disposition tries to find a receipt and links the demand to the receipt. If no free stock is available, a new receipt will be created for the item by initiating a purchase activity, which will also be updated in the repository.
