In this page, you can view the bins that are defined for the “Normal” zone. Tell me more
Select the “View Bin Information” link at the bottom of the “Zone Information” page.
The “Bin Information” page appears.
The system displays the following field:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default. |
The system displays the following fields in the “Warehouse Details” group box:
Warehouse # |
The warehouse number for which the bin details are displayed. |
Warehouse Status |
The status of the warehouse, which could be “Active” or “Inactive”. |
Description |
The textual description of the warehouse. |
Warehouse Category |
The category to which the warehouse belongs. |
Enter the following in the “Zone Details” group box:
WH – Zone # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the zone for which the bin details is to be displayed. The system lists all the active zones of type “Normal”. |
The system displays the following in the “Zone Details” group box.

Status |
The status of the zone. |
WH – Zone Description |
The textual description of the zone. |
Click the “Get Details “ pushbutton to get the bin details.
The system displays the following fields in the “Bin Details” multiline:
Bin # |
The number identifying the bin in the zone |
Bin Description |
The textual description of the bin. |
Capacity Constraint |
The capacity of the stock accommodated in the bin, which could be “Volume”, “Quantity”, “Weight” or “Not Applicable”. |
Volume |
The volume of the stock stored in the bin. |
Volume UOM |
The unit of measurement in which the volume of the part is measured. |
Weight |
The weight of the part stored in the bin. |
Weight UOM |
The unit of measurement in which the part is weighed. |
Proximity Indicator |
The position of the stock placed in the bin, which could be “Near”, “Medium”, “Far” or “Blank”. |
Placement Priority |
The priority in which the parts must be received in the bin |
Picking Priority |
The priority with which the parts must be issued from the bin. |
Status |
The status of the bin, which could be “Active” or “inactive”. |
File Name |
The name of the file used for document reference that is associated to the bin. |
Remarks |
Additional comment pertaining to the bin. |
Created by |
The login ID of the user who created the bin. |
Created Date |
The date on which the bin was created. |
Last Modified By |
The login ID of the user who last modified the bin details. |
Last Modified Date |
The date on which the last modification was done. |
Viewing bin information – An overview
In this page, you can view the bins that are defined for the “Normal” zone. Details such as the bin number, description and status, name of the user who created the bin, the date on which the bin was created, name of the user who last modified the bin, date on which the bin was last modified are displayed in the multiline.
