Selecting warehouse for viewing

You can select a warehouse and view its details in this page. Tell me more
Select the “View Storage Information” link under the “Storage Information” business component. .
The “Select Warehouse” page appears.
Enter the following field in the “Direct Entry” group box, if you know the warehouse number for which the details must be viewed:
Warehouse # |
The warehouse for which the details are to be viewed (Alphanumeric, 10). |
Select the “View Warehouse Information” link provided alongside, to view the warehouse details.
Enter the following in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for a warehouse. Data entry in the following fields is optional:

The warehouse number for which the details are to be viewed (Alphanumeric, 10). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the warehouses that are similar to the values entered here. |
Description |
Enter the description of the warehouse to be viewed in full or specify it partially using the “*” character (Alphanumeric, 150). The system retrieves all the warehouses whose descriptions are similar to the description entered here. |
Warehouse Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the warehouse to be viewed, which could be “Normal” or “Free”. The system lists all the warehouses that are in the type specified here. Leave this field blank if you wish to retrieve details of warehouses irrespective of their type. The system leaves the field blank by default. |
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the warehouse to be viewed, which could be “Active” or “Inactive”. The system lists all the warehouses that are in the status specified here. Leave this field blank if you wish to retrieve details of warehouses irrespective of their status. The system sets the field to “Active” by default. |
Warehouse Category |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the category to which the warehouse to be viewed, belongs. The system displays all the categories defined in the “Create Quick Codes” activity. The system retrieves all the warehouses belonging to the category specified here. |
Storage Location |
Use the drop-down list box to select the code defined under a station to which multiple warehouses can be mapped. The parts are stored in a warehouse. The system displays all the storage locations defined in the “Maintain Storage Location” activity. The system leaves the field blank by default. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to display the search results.
The system displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline:
Warehouse # |
The number identifying the warehouse. |
Warehouse Type |
The type of the warehouse, which could be “Normal” or “Free”. |
Description |
The description of the warehouse. |
Warehouse Category |
The category to which the warehouse belongs. |
Warehouse Status |
The status of the warehouse, which could be “Active” or “Inactive”. |
Click the hyperlinked warehouse number in the multiline, to view the warehouse details.
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to view the warehouse user mapping or planning parameter details or storage allocation.
To proceed, carry out the following
Select the “View Warehouse User Mapping” link at the bottom of the page to view the user, who is mapped to the warehouse.
Select the “View Warehouse planning parameter” link at the bottom of the page to view the planning information of the part in the warehouse.
Select the “View Storage Allocation” link at the bottom of the page to view allocation details in the warehouse.
Selecting warehouse for viewing – An overview
You can select a warehouse and view its details. If you know the warehouse number to be viewed, you can directly enter it. Otherwise, you can carry out a search based on the warehouse number, description, status or type. The details of the selected warehouse, such as the warehouse number, type, description and its status are displayed.
