Selecting the user for mapping warehouses
You can select a user name to map multiple warehouses, in this page. Tell me more
Select the “Set Warehouse–Access Privileges ”link under the “Storage Administration” business component.
The “Select User” page appears.
Enter the following field, in the “Direct Entry” group box, if you know the user name:
User Name |
The name of the user for whom you wish to grant warehouse access rights. Ensure that the name is defined in the “Create Employee File” activity of the “Employee Information” business component and is in “Active” status. |
Select the “Grant Warehouse Access to User“ link provided alongside, to grant multiple warehouse access rights to the user.
To search for a user
Enter the following in the “Search Criteria” group box, to search for a user. Data entry in these fields is optional:
User Name |
The name of the user (Alphanumeric, 25). You can enter the user name in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the user names whose values are similar to the value entered here |
Role Description |
The designation of the user (Alphanumeric, 40). |
Employee # |
The code identifying the employee (Alphanumeric, 15). You can enter the employee code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the employee codes whose values are similar to the value entered here |
Employee Name |
The name of the employee (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the name in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the names whose values are similar to the value entered here. |
Warehouse # |
The code identifying the warehouse (Alphanumeric, 10). The system displays all the warehouse numbers that are similar to the number entered here. |
Warehouse Description |
The textual description of the warehouse. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to retrieve the search results.
The system displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline:
User Name |
The name of the user. |
Employee # |
The code identifying the employee. |
Employee Name |
The name of the employee of the OU. |
Count Of Warehouses Mapped |
The number of warehouses mapped for this user. |
Enter the following in the “Copy Details” group box:
From User Name |
The name of the user for which the access privileges are to be copied (Alphanumeric, 25). The user must have been defined in the “Create Employee File” activity of the “Employee Information” business component and must be in “Active” status. Zoom facility available. |
Click the ”Copy Access Privileges” pushbutton.
The system copies the access privileges for the user.
Click the hyperlinked user name in the multiline, to map warehouses to the user.
Selecting the user for mapping warehouses – An overview
You can select a user name to map multiple warehouses, in this page. If you know the user name, you can directly enter it. Otherwise you can carry out a search based on the user name, role description, employee code and employee name. Details such as user name, employee code, employee name are displayed in the multiline. You can also view the count of the number of warehouses that are already mapped to the user.

You can copy details of the user that is already defined in the “Employee” business component. Details such as the user name, employee code, employee name can be copied.
Enter the user name for which details must be copied, in the “Copy Details” group box.
Click the “Copy Access Privileges” pushbutton, to copy the details.
A new user name is generated.
