Basics of using a typical web page

Using Online Help

This is a one-stop screen for reporting or updating the actual resource consumption as against the estimations made.

The “Report Resource Actual” page appears.

The system displays the following field:

Date & Time Format

The format in which the date and time field is displayed. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component by default.

 The system displays the following in the “Shop Order Details” group box:

SWO #

The number identifying the shop work order for which details are retrieved.

Status

The status of the shop work order, which could be “Planned”, “In-Progress” or “Completed”.

Job Type

The job type of the shop work order, such as “Engine”, “Component”, “Inspection”, “Facility”, “Piece Part”, “Make”, “Project” or “Miscellaneous”.

Event #

The event number indicating the visit of the main core and identified for grouping the shop work order.

Order Desc.

The description of the work order for which details are retrieved.

Customer Order # / Rev #

The unique code identifying the customer order raised for performing a task. / The revision number for the standard procedure.

Customer #

The code identifying the customer for whom the customer order is created.

Task # / Seq #

Use the drop-down list box to specify the task for which you wish to update the actual resource details. The system lists all the tasks that are of status "Planned", "In-progress", and "Completed" as defined for the SWO # in the “Plan Work Order” activity of the current business component.

Ensure the following:

  • A sequence number is specified if the task # provided already exists in the work order.

  • Values specified in this field exist for the Task # - Seq # combination in the SWO # provided in the “Shop Order Details” group box.

The system displays the following field:

Revision #

The revision number for the standard procedure.

Task Desc.

The textual description entered for the task with the latest revision date.

Default From Date / Time

The default starting date and time of actual resources used that you wish to specify for all the resources listed in the multiline. You must enter the date and time in the valid date and time format.

Default End Date / Time

The default ending date and time of actual resources used that you wish to specify for all resources listed in the multiline. You must enter the date and time in the valid date and time format.

Data entry in this field is mandatory if the “To Date / Time” field in the multiline is left blank.

Actual Hours

The actual hours of the resource used for executing the work unit. (Decimal). Data entry in this field is mandatory if the “To Time” is not entered.

Task #

The number identifying the task for which you wish to update the actual resource details.  Mandatory. Ensure the following:

  • The task has already been defined in the “Create Task” activity of the “Maintenance Task” business component and is in “Active” status.

  • The task number mentioned in this field belongs to the SWO # specified in the “Shop Order Details” group box.

Help facility available

Seq #

The sequence in which the task is performed (Integer).  Data entry in this field is Mandatory if the Task # specified is duplicated in the work order.

Resource Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the resource for which you wish to add or modify actual resource details. The options available are “Skills”, “Tools”, “Equipment“ or “Others”.

The system displays “Skills” by default.

Resource #

The resource required for completing the access panel task which you wish to update. The resource of type “Skills” must have been defined in the “Skill“ business component of “HRMS” and resource of type “Tools”, “Others” and “Equipment” must have been defined in the “Work Center” business component. For each resource type, the resource number must be unique within the multiline. (Alphanumeric, 40).

Help facility available

Facility Object Code

The number identifying the facility object for a resource for which you wish to update the actual resource details.

Ensure that the code specified in this field is valid for the Resource # specified and must be in ‘Active’ status.  If the Resource # entered is a Facility # (Tools, Equipments, or Others) and if facility Object # is entered, the Condition of the Facility object # must be “Serviceable”, “New” or “Overhauled”. If this true, the system ensures the following:

  • Due date of the task in Facility master is not overdue.

  • Due date of all the tasks in the Component Maintenance Program is not overdue, if the Facility Object is a Component Part.

From Date / Time

The date / time from which the resource was used.

To Date / Time

The date / time un till which the resource was used.

Actual Hours

The actual hours reported for executing the task. Mandatory.

Ensure that the value specified in this field is positive.

Used Value

The total number of  resources that have been used.

Ensure that the value specified in this field is positive.

Ensure that the value specified in this field is not a fraction if the option “Fractions Allowed” is set as “No” in the “Edit UOM” activity of the “Unit of Measurement” business component.

Used UOM

The unit of measurement of the resource for which you wish to update the actual resource details. Data entry in this field is mandatory if a value is specified in the “Used Value” field when the “Resource Type” is set as “Skill”.

Ensure that the user selected UoM is having a conversion factor with Stock UoM of the Part as defined in “UDSS” business component if the “Resource # “ selected is a part #.

Work Center #

The number identifying the work center primarily responsible for executing the work unit  for which you wish to update the actual resource details.

Repair Classification

Use the drop-down list box to specify the repair classification in order to differentiate the tasks which are over and above the contract (COA - Contract Over and Above) between the operator and the MRO. The system lists all the ‘Active’ quick codes of type “Repair Classification” defined in the “Maintenance Task” business component.

The system leaves the field blank, by default.

The system displays the following fields in the “Resource Actual Details” multiline:

Work Center #

The number identifying the work center primarily responsible for executing the work unit  for which you wish to update the actual resource details.

Hold Codes

Indicates the hold status of the task. The system displays “On Hold”  if the task is on hold, else the system displays blank.

Comments

Any additional comments pertaining to the actual resource updation.

The system displays the following fields in the “Resource Actual Details” multiline:

Task Desc.

A brief description of the task.

Resource Desc.

A brief description of the resource.

The system performs the following:

To Date / Time - From Date / Time after considering the update mode.

Actual Hours = To Date/Time - From Date/Time

Actual Hours + From Date / Time (multiline)

To Date/Time specified (multiline) - Actual Hours.

    1. For Resource type "Skill", Cost Center is derived from the Task # - Work Center - Cost Center mapping.

    2. For Resources type "Tools / Equipment" with Facility Object #, Cost Center is derived from Facility Object # - Cost Center mapping.

    3. For Resources type "Tools / Equipment" with no Facility Object #, Cost Center is derived from the Task # - Work Center - Cost Center mapping.

    4. For Resources type "Tools / Equipment" with Facility Object # having no Cost Center mapped, Cost center is derived from the Task # - Work Center - Cost Center mapping.

    5. For Resource type "Others", Cost Center is derived from the Task # - Work Center - Cost Center mapping.

Note: Task # - Work Center - Cost Center mapping is defined in the “Work Center” business component and Facility Object # - Cost Center mapping defined in the “Facility Object” business component.
