The “Edit Package/Task Information” window appears, if you have selected a Line / AME package. However, if the selected package is a hangar visit package, the “Edit Visit Package Details” page from Visit Package component opens up. You can now add forecasted/un-forecasted/non-routine tasks to the package you have selected in the “Review Aircraft Maintenance” page. For details on “Edit Visit Package Details” page, refer to the Edit Visit Package online help.

A  description of the information displayed in the “Edit Package/Task Information” window follows.

The “Package Details” group box displays the following.

Aircraft Reg #

The aircraft on which the package will be executed.

Package #

The package that is executed on the aircraft.

  • Enter the following.

 

Package Description

The short name/description of the package.

The “Package Details” group box displays the following.

Package Type

The type of the package.

Status

The status of the package

Sch. Start Date

The planned start date for execution of the package.

Sch. End Date

The planned end date for execution of the package.

Note: You can modify details of a package only if it is in “In-Complete” or “In-Progress” status.

Primary Work Center

Use the drop-down list box to select primary work center for the visit package Mandatory. The drop-down list displays all the Active work centers defined in the Work Center component with the Execution Capability  other than “Shop Jobs", Automatic Line Scheduling” and work center of class “Execution”.

For customer-owned aircraft and the package type selected, ensure that the work center selected in this field is the same as the Work Center provided in the Contract.

Doc Category

The category of the document. Mandatory. The drop-down list box displays, those visit categories defined in the Compliance Tracking & Control component with Active Status defined for package types other than “Hangar Visit Package”.

Flight #

The flight subsequent to which the package must be executed on the aircraft (Alphanumeric, 25).

Customer order #

The customer order reference for the aircraft (Alphanumeric, 25).

Help facility available

User Status

Use the drop-down list box to select the user status of the package. The drop-down list box displays the quick codes defined under the quick code type “Exec. Ref. User Status” in the Flight Log component.

Note: The customer order # is mandatory for a customer-owned aircraft.

Note: You can modify details of a task only if it is in “Fresh”, “Planned” or “In-Progress” status.

Exe. Work Center

Use the drop-down list box to select the work center in which the package must be executed on the aircraft. The drop-down list box displays work centers on the basis of the type of the package. The drop-down list box lists, Work centers in “Active” Status with the Execution Capability not set to “Shops Jobs” and Automatic Line Scheduling”, if type of the packages is not “Hangar Visit Package”.

For customer-owned aircraft and the package type selected, ensure that the work center selected in this field is the same as the Work Center provided in the Contract.

Capex Proposal #

The CAPEX proposal number of the package (Alphanumeric, 40).

The CAPEX proposal number is mandatory for a package, if the Expense Type is “Capital”

Exe. Category

Use the drop-down list box to select the execution priority of the task you want to add to the package. The drop-down list displays all the Quick Codes in “Active” status defined for the Quick Code Type “Exec. Ref # Category” in the Flight Log component.

Priority

Use the drop-down list box to select the priority for execution of the package on the aircraft. The drop-down list displays all those priority numbers defined in the Common Masters component that are in “Active” status.

User Status

Use the drop-down list box to select the user status for all the tasks in the package. The drop-down list box displays the quick codes defined under the quick code type “Task User Status” in the Flight Log component.

The system retrieves details of all those constituent tasks of the package that are not in “Cancelled” status.

Seq #

The number identifying the order of execution of the task.

Note: The seq # of Operational tasks must be unique and, in the increasing order. However, multiple instances of a Workscoping task can possess the same seq #.

Task #

The task you want to add to the package.

  • “Aircraft”, the task you specify must be applicable to aircraft as defined in the Maintenance Task component.

  • “On-wing” or “Component Replacement”, the task you specify must be applicable to component/engine as defined in the Maintenance Task component.

Note: You can add multiple instances of a Workscoping task to a package. Along with a Workscoping task, all its Operational tasks are automatically included to the package. As Operational tasks must possess unique successive seq #s, you will have to change these to resemble an increasing order of numbers.

Task Description

The short name/description of the task.

The task description is mandatory for a non-standard task that you add to the package. The system automatically creates a new task with the task description and generates the task #.

The multiline displays the following.

Status

The status of the task.

Tracking #

A system generated number identifying the task in the package.

  • Enter the following in the “Task Details” multiline.

Planned  Start Date

The planned start date for execution of the task.

Planned Start Time

The planned time for commencement of the task.

Planned  End Date

The planned end date for execution of the task.

Planned  End Time

The planned time for completion of the task.

ATA #

The ATA # associated with the task.

The ATA # is mandatory for a non-standard task that you add to the package in the multiline. The ATA # specified for the non-standard task must be valid as defined in the Aircraft component.

Part #

The part associated with task.

Note the following.

1) You must specify the part, if the job type of the task is “On-wing” or “Component Removal”. 2) The part you specify must be valid as defined in the Part Administration component. 3) The effectivity of the part for the task must be defined in the Maintenance Task component.

Serial #

The serial # of the part associated with the task.

You must specify the serial #, if the job type of the task is “On-wing” or “Component Removal”.

Position Code

The position code of the part # /serial # in the aircraft.

You must specify the position code for the part # and serial #. However, the system retrieves the position code defined for the part # and serial # in the Aircraft component.

Job Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the job type of the task. The drop-own list box displays the following:  Aircraft, On-wing and Component removal.

By default, the system sets the job type of the task to Aircraft”.

The multiline displays the following.

Parent Task #

The identification number of the block task.

Relationship Type

The relationship of the task with the parent task. Block, Predecessor

  • Enter the following.

Exec. Work Center

Use the drop-down list box to select the work center in which the package must be executed on the aircraft. The drop-down list box lists those work centers in “Active” status that have the Execution Capability set as “Hangar”, “Line” or “All” and work center of class “Execution” from the work center business components interacting with the Compliance Tracking & Control business component.

For customer-owned aircraft and the package type selected, ensure that the work center selected in this field is the same as the Work Center provided in the Contract.

Note: You cannot change the primary work center of the task, if the package has already been allotted to a slot.

Expense Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the expense type of the task. The drop-down list displays the following: “Capital” and “Revenue”.

By default,  this field displays “Revenue”.

CAPEX Proposal #

The CAPEX proposal number of the package (Alphanumeric, 40).

This field is mandatory, if the expense type of the task is “Capital”.

Note that the Asset Class to which the Asset No and Asset Tag are mapped for the aircraft of the package must be the same as the Asset Class of the CAPEX Proposal # specified Maintenance Asset Tracker, if

  • Any interaction exists with Asset Planning, Asset Capitalization and Management Tracker components.

  • The "Expense Type is "Capital".

  • The "Enforce Object to Asset Mapping For" is set to "Aircraft" in the interacting Account Group component.

Exe. Category

Use the drop-down list box to select the execution priority of the task you want to add to the package. The drop-down list displays all the Quick Codes in “Active” status defined for the Quick Code Type “Exec. Ref # Category" in the Flight Log component.

Exec. Phase

The current execution phase of the task.

By default, this field displays “Regular”.

Priority

Use the drop-down list box to select the priority for execution of the package on the aircraft. The drop-down list displays all those priority numbers defined in the Common Masters component that are in “Active” status.

User Status

Use the drop-down list box to select the user status for the task in the package. The drop-down list box displays the quick codes defined under the quick code type “Task User Status” in the Flight Log component.

Planning Comments

Any remarks or guidelines for scheduling/planning the task execution.

Est. Man Hours

The estimated man hours required for completion of the task. The value you specify must be a positive integer.

The “Task Details” multiline also displays the following.

Schedule Date

The due date for execution of the task on the aircraft. This is computed by the system based on Schedule Type, Repeat Interval and tolerance defined for the task in the maintenance program specific to the aircraft.

Edit Package/Task Information – Page Overview

You can add tasks to/delete tasks from a package. You may also add non-standard tasks (tasks not defined in the Maintain Task component) to the package as well and record details of the task using the “Author Repair Procedure” link. You may delete any task that is in “Fresh” or “Planned” status. You can change details of tasks constituting a package. The system performs the following checks/jobs when modifying a task/package.

1. Short closes authorized material requests previously generated for deferred discrepancies.

2. Generates new material requests for deferred discrepancies with the following attributes

Note: However, if work center is not specified for material requests, the system does not short close authorized material requests associated with the deferred task.
