Viewing the repair instructions
Standard Instructions that are essential for reference gets identified for a Part / Part-Serial/Lot # combination during various analyses, Reliability and Service Bulletins being few sources. Any information that needs to be served as a reference during Execution will be defined as a Task in the execution documents. Reliability and Engineering notes caters the definition of these repair instructions.
This screen enables the user to view the Repair Instructions applicable for a Part-Serial/Lot, which will be useful during Planning for Work Execution.
Select the “View Repair Instructions” link at the bottom of the “Create Repair Order”, Edit Repair Order” or “View Repair Order” page.
The “View Repair Instructions” page appears.
Enter the following field in the “Search Criteria” group box:
Part # |
The number identifying the part for which the ‘active’ Reliability Notes are defined under various Reliability Parameters / The number identifying the part for which the notes are defined for in Engineering Orders with the Part # effectivity in ‘active’ status. Help facility available. |
Part Description |
The description of the part. |
Mfr. Serial |
The number identifying the manufacturer serial/manufacturer lot of the part. The system retrieves the Engineering Order notes, based on the Applicability Group selected for the Notes defined. Help facility available. |
Component # |
The number identifying the component. The system retrieves the Engineering Order notes, based on the Applicability Group selected for the Notes defined. |
Purpose |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the purpose for which the Repair Instructions are viewed. The system lists the value “Repair” and defaults the same. |
Task # |
The number identifying the task for which the notes is defined in Engineering Order. Help facility available. |
Source Doc. Type |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the type of the source document. The system lists all the ‘active’ entities defined under Entity Type ‘Eng. Doc. Type’ in the “Define Process Entities” activity of the “Common Master” business component and all the ‘active’ parameters defined in the “Set Reliability Process Parameters” activity of the “Reliability Analysis” business component. |
