Selecting part type/part control type conversion document for modification

This page allows you to select a part type/part control type conversion document in “Fresh” or “Draft” status, for modification. You can also cancel the part type / part control type conversion document, using this page. Tell me more.
Select the “Edit Part Type / Part Control Type Conversion” under the “Part Administration” business component.
The “Select Part Type / Part Control Type Conversion” page appears.
The system displays the following:

Date & Time Format |
The format in which the date fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the “User Preferences” business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default. |
Enter the following fields in the “Direct Entry” group box:

Conversion # |
The number identifying the part type/part control type conversion document you wish to modify (Alphanumeric, 40). |
Select the “Edit Conversion Details” link provided alongside, to modify the specified part type/part control type conversion document details.
To search for a part type/part control type conversion document
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for the conversion document you wish to modify. Data entry in these fields is optional.

Conversion # |
The number identifying the part type/part control type conversion document you wish to modify (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system displays all the conversion document numbers that are similar to the number entered here. |

Status |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the conversion document you wish to modify. The system lists the options “Draft” and “Fresh”. Leave this field blank, if you wish to retrieve all the conversion documents irrespective of the status. |

Part # |
The code identifying the part for which the part type / part control type is changed (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. Leave this field blank, if you wish to retrieve all the conversion documents irrespective of the part number. |

Part Description |
The textual description of the part for which the part type / part control type is changed (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. Leave this field blank, if you wish to retrieve all the conversion documents irrespective of the part description. |

From Date |
The starting date, in the specified date format, from which the conversion details must be retrieved. The system lists the details of all the conversions that are created later than this date. This date must not be later than the current date and the “To Date”. |

To Date |
The ending date, in the specified date format, till which the conversion details must be retrieved. The system lists the details of all the conversions that are created earlier than this date. This date must not be later than the current date. |

From Part Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the part type that is to be changed. The system lists the options “Component” and “Expendable”. Leave this field blank, if you wish to retrieve all the conversion documents irrespective of the “From Part Type”. |

To Part Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the new part type for the part. The system lists the options “Component” and “Expendable”. Leave this field blank, if you wish to retrieve all the conversion documents irrespective of the “To Part Type”. |

From Part Control Type |
Use the drop-down list box, to specify the part control type that is to be changed. The system lists the options “Serial Controlled”, “Lot Controlled”, “Serial-Lot Controlled” and “None”. Leave this field blank, if you wish to retrieve all the conversion documents irrespective of the “From Part Control Type”. |

To Part Control Type |
Use the drop-down list box, to select the new part control type for the part.. The system lists the options “Serial Controlled”, “Lot Controlled”, “Serial-Lot Controlled” and “None”. Leave this field blank, if you wish to retrieve all the conversion documents irrespective of the “To Part Control Type”. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to retrieve the search results in the multiline.
Note: The system retrieves all the part type / part control type conversion documents in the “Draft”/“Fresh” status, based on the search criteria.

Click the hyperlinked part type/part control type conversion document number in the multiline, to modify the conversion details.

The status of the part type/part control type conversion document, which could be “Draft” or “Fresh”. |

The date on which the part type/ part control type conversion document was created. |

The number identifying the part for which the part type / part control type is changed. |

Part Description |
The textual description of the part for which the part type / part control type is changed. |

The part type that is to be changed. |

Enter the following field in the “Search Results” multiline, only if you wish to cancel the part type / part control type conversion document:

Reason |
The reason or remarks pertaining to the cancellation of the part type/part control type conversion document (Alphanumeric, 255). Mandatory. |
Click the “Cancel Conversion” pushbutton, if you wish to cancel the selected part type/part control type conversion document.
Note: Atleast one record must be selected in the multiline.
Note: The system displays an error message, if any other concurrent user attempts to simultaneously cancel the part type / part control type conversion details.
The system updates the status of the part type/part control type conversion, as “Cancelled”.
Note: This action is workflow-enabled. Notification messages can be sent as per the settings you have defined in the "Workflow Management" business component.
Selecting part type / part control type conversion document for modification – An overview
This page allows you to select a part type / part control type conversion document you wish to modify. If you know the number identifying the conversion document to be modified, you can directly enter it. Otherwise, you can carry out a search based on the conversion document status, “Part #”, “Part Description”, “From Part Type”, “To Part Type”, “From Part Control Type” and the “To Part Control Type”.
