The “Associate Parts” page appears.

Group Code

Use the drop-down list box to select the part / service group to which you wish to associate the parts. The system lists all the group codes in “Active” status with the “Associate Parts” or "Associate Groups" field set to “Yes” in the “Create Part / Service Groups” page.

The system displays the following field:

Group Description

The textual description of the part / service group.

The system displays the following details as defined in the “Create Part / Service Groups” page.

Controlled Group

Indicates whether the part / service group is controlled. The value ”Yes” means the part / service group is controlled and “No” indicates the part / service group is not controlled.

Purpose

The applicable purposes of the part / service group, which can be one of the following: "Pricing", "Taxes and Charges", "Product Line", "Capability Definition", "Reliability Analysis", "VAT, HSN Code and SAC Code".

Note: Controlled Group and Purpose attributes bear implications when you associate a part to a part / service group. If a part is associated to a Controlled Part Group with a specific purpose, then it cannot be associated to another “Controlled” part / service group with the same purpose. However it can be associated to any other “non-controlled” Part Group with different / same purpose.

If part / service group selected in the header is defined as Primary part / service group for the part, then the part cannot be deleted from the multiline

The system displays the details of the parts that are already associated to the part / service group in the multiline.

Part / Service #

The number identifying the part / service that you wish to associate to the part / service group (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory. The part number must be already defined in the “Create Parts Main Information” activity. Ensure that the part number is in “Active” status and is unique in the multiline.

Help facility available.
