This page allows you to create a part group type.
Select the “Create Group Type” link under the “Part Administration” business component.
The “Create Group Type” page appears.
Enter the following fields in the “Group Type Details” multiline:

Group Type |
The code identifying the type of the part group (Alphanumeric, 20). Mandatory. The group type code can be a combination of characters and digits. |

Group Type Description |
The textual description of the group type (Alphanumeric, 80). Mandatory. |

Usage |
Use the drop-down list box to select the usage of the group type. The system lists the options “Maintenance", "Operation", "Inventory", “Purchase”, “Sales”, “Accounting” and "Others". |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the group type for deletion.
Click the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline to delete the group type.
Click the “Create Group Type” pushbutton to create the group type.
To proceed, carry out the following:
Select the “Build Part Group Hierarchy” link at the bottom of the page to build the part group hierarchy.
