Maintaining Trade Compliance Information
Select “Maintain Trade Compliance Information” link under the “Part Administration” business component.
The “Maintain Trade Compliance Information” page appears.
Enter one of the following values in the “Search Criteria” field:
Part # |
The number identifying the part for which the Trade Compliance details is to be retrieved. |
Description |
The description of the part. |
Mfr. Part # |
The manufacturer number of the part for which the Trade Compliance details is to be retrieved. |
Mfr. # |
The number identifying the manufacturer of the part for which the Trade Compliance details is to be retrieved. |
Mfr. Country |
The manufacturer country of the part for which the Trade Compliance details is to be retrieved. |
Strip Part # |
The number identifying the strip part. |
Select the following check box:
Parts in Held Orders |
Select the following check box to retrieve the Parts which are available in restricted orders identified in the “Manage Part Restrictions” screen. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to retrieve the Trade Compliance details of the part based on the search criteria entered.
Select the “Advanced Search” link to retrieve the parts based on the search criteria specified in the ‘Advanced Search’ pop-up.
Enter the following field in the “Trade Compliance Information” multiline:
Part # |
The number identifying the part for which the Trade Compliance details is recorded. |
The system displays the following fields in the multiline:

Mfr. Part # |
The manufacturer number of the part for which the Trade Compliance details is recorded. |
Mfr. # |
The number identifying the manufacturer of the part for which the Trade Compliance details is recorded. |
Address |
The address identifying the manufacturer of the part. |
City |
The city identifying the manufacturer of the part. |
Zip Code |
The zip code of the manufacturer of the part. |
State |
The state where the part is manufactured. |
Country |
The country of manufacture of the part. |
Parts in Held Orders |
Select the following checkbox to retrieve the Parts which are available in restricted orders identified in the “Manage Part Restrictions” screen. |
Enter the following fields in the multiline:
License Required? |
Use the drop-down list box to specify whether the part requires License. The system lists the values “Yes”, “No” along with a blank value. The system leaves the field blank, by default. |
ITAR Restriction? |
Use the drop-down list box to specify whether the part is ITAR Restricted. The system lists the values “Yes”, “No” along with a blank value. The system leaves the field blank, by default. |
Base Comm. Inv. value |
The base commercial invoice value of the Part #. Note: This base commercial invoice value will be used to default in the Shipping note and thereafter get printed in the Commercial Invoice report. |
Comp. Code Type |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the type of the trade compliance code. The system lists all the quick codes defined under the Quick Code Type 'Comp. Code Type' in the “Create Quick Code” screen of the current business component along with a blank value. The system leaves the field blank, by default. Process Parameter dependency: The name of this column will be the valid user defined caption name as set for the parameter “Compliance Code applicable for Trade Compliance Information (Comp. Code Type)” under the category “Trade Compliance” in the “Set Inventory Process Parameters” activity of Logistics Common Master. However, the column will retain the name “Comp. Code Type”, if the parameter has not been specified. |
Comp. Ref # |
The number identifying the compliance reference of the part. Process Parameter dependency: The name of this column will be the valid user defined caption name as set for the parameter “Compliance Code applicable for Trade Compliance Information (Comp. Ref. #)” under the category “Trade Compliance” in the “Set Inventory Process Parameters” activity of Logistics Common Master. However, the column will retain the name “Comp. Ref #”, if the parameter has not been specified. |
Addl. Comp. Ref |
The number identifying the additional compliance reference of the part. This is used to identify additional classification codes such as BATFE code, HS Code, ECCN Code, EAR Code, etc. Process Parameter dependency: The name of this column will be the valid user defined caption name as set for the parameter “Compliance Code applicable for Trade Compliance Information (Addl. Comp. Ref.)” under the category “Trade Compliance” in the “Set Inventory Process Parameters” activity of Logistics Common Master. However, the column will retain the name “Addl. Comp. Comp. Ref”, if the parameter has not been specified. |
Regulation Restriction-1? |
Process Parameter dependency: The name of this column will be the valid user defined caption name as set for the parameter “Regulations applicable for Trade Compliance Information (Regulation Restriction-1?)” under the category “Trade Compliance” in the “Set Inventory Process Parameters” activity of Logistics Common Master. However, the column will retain the name “Regulation Restriction-1”, if the parameter has not been specified by the users. |
Regulation Restriction-2? |
Process Parameter dependency: The name of this column will be the valid user defined caption name as set for the parameter “Regulations applicable for Trade Compliance Information (Regulation Restriction-2?)” under the category “Trade Compliance” in the “Set Inventory Process Parameters” activity of Logistics Common Master. However, the column will retain the name “Regulation Restriction-2”, if the parameter has not been specified by the users. |
Import Ref. Code-1 |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the import reference code of the part. The system lists all the values defined under the Quick Code Type 'Import Ref. Code-1' in the “Create Quick Code” screen of the current business component along with a blank value. The system leaves the field blank, by default. This is used to identify any classification that is used to classify the Part for Import (similar to HTS code). Process Parameter dependency: The name of this column will be the valid user defined caption name as set for the parameter “Import Code applicable for Trade Compliance Information (Import Ref. Code-1)” under the category “Trade Compliance” in the “Set Inventory Process Parameters” activity of Logistics Common Master. However, the column will retain the name “Import Ref. Export Ref. Code-1 |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the export reference code of the part. The system lists all the values defined under the Quick Code Type 'Export Ref. Code-1' in the “Create Quick Code” screen of the current business component along with a blank value. The system leaves the field blank, by default. This is used to identify any classification that is used to classify the Part for Export (similar to Schedule B code). Process Parameter dependency: The name of this column will be the valid user defined caption name as set for the parameter “Export Code applicable for Trade Compliance Information (Export Ref. This is used to identify any classification that is used to classify the Part for Import (similar to HTS code). This is used to identify any classification that is used to classify the Part for Export (similar to Schedule B code). Price Ref. |
The concatenation of the Last Purchase Price, Last Sale Price and Last Repair Price of the Part for which the Trade compliance information is defined. This is used as a reference to define the Base Commercial Invoice Value. Example: "Last Pur. Price: 1000 | Last Sale Price: 1220 | Last Repair Price: 490". |
Last Modified by |
The name of the user who last modified the Trade Compliance details of the part. |
Last Modified Date & Time |
The date and time at which the Trade Compliance details of the part was last modified. |
User Defined – 1 |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the user defined value. The system lists all the values defined under the Quick Code Type 'User Defined -1 (Trade Compliance)' in the “Create Quick Code” screen in the current business component, along with a blank value. The system leaves the field blank, by default. |
User Defined – 2 |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the user defined value. The system lists all the values defined under the Quick Code Type 'User Defined -2 (Trade Compliance)' in the “Create Quick Code” screen in the current business component, along with a blank value.
