Maintain Numbering Privileges – A summary of the activity
A user can create or modify numbering types, only when he has been provided the numbering privileges. This activity allows you to provide the privilege to define a numbering class, for a user belonging to a specific organizational unit.
Who can carry out this activity?
Only administrators with access rights for all OUs within the company can use this activity.
On specifying the organizational unit and the name of the user, the system displays all the functions, business components and transactions that are mapped to the organizational unit, in the multiline. For example, “Inventory” is a function, “Issue” is a business component and “Maintenance Issue” is a transaction. For every transaction listed in the multiline, you can provide or deny the numbering privileges to the user belonging to the selected organizational unit. Thus, the activity enables you to restrict numbering class definition only to authorized users.
Note: Numbering privileges must be set before defining a numbering class.
