Analyzing the impact of re-forecasting
This page allows you to analyze the impact of re forecasting. Tell me more.
Select the “Simulate Re-forecast” link in the “Select Forecast” page.
The “Simulate Re-forecast” page appears.
Note: While re-forecasting, the system considers the earliest schedule date planned for the maintenance activity, if the earliest schedule date is earlier than the next schedule date.
The system displays the following:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default. |
The system displays the following in the “Forecast Details” group box:
Forecast # |
The number identifying the aircraft forecast. |
Status |
The status of the forecast. |
Re Forecast Count |
The reforecast count of the selected forecast. |
User Status |
The user-defined status of the forecast. |
Start Date |
The start date of the forecast. |
End Date |
The end date, till which the forecast remains valid. |
The system displays the following in the “Sub Fleet Details” group box:
Sub Fleet # |
The number identifying the sub fleet. |
Sub Fleet Desc |
The textual description of the sub fleet. Zoom facility available. |
The system displays the following in the “Arising Details” group box:
Re-Forecast Impact |
The type of the work unit, which could be “Task” “Standard Procedure” “Aircraft work package” and “component work package”. |
Aircraft Reg# |
The registration number of the aircraft to which the maintenance program is mapped. |
Work Unit # |
The number identifying the task or standard procedure, to be performed as part of the maintenance program. |
Work Unit Type |
The type of the work unit, which could be “Task” or “Standard Procedure”. |
Job Type |
The job type of the work unit, which could be “Aircraft” or “On-Wing”. |
Earliest Schedule Date |
The earliest of all the scheduled start dates of the maintenance activity. |
Schedule Date |
The scheduled start date of the maintenance activity. |
Latest Schedule Date |
The latest date by which the maintenance activity must be completed. |
Remaining Days |
The number of days remaining before the start date of the maintenance activity. The system calculates the remaining date as given below: Remaining Date = Schedule Date – Current Date |
Remaining FH |
The number of flying hours remaining before starting the scheduled maintenance activity. The system calculates the remaining flying hours as given below: Remaining FH = Schedule Value of FH – Current Value of FH |
Note: The system retrieves the current flying hours from the “Aircraft” business component.
Remaining FC |
The number of flying cycles remaining before starting the scheduled maintenance activity. The system calculates the remaining flying cycles as given below: Remaining FC = Schedule Value of FC – Current Value of FC |
Assigned ? |
The system displays “Yes” if the central planner has allocated the forecasted work units. The system displays “No” otherwise. |
Position Code |
The position code in the aircraft where the maintenance activity must be performed. |
Level Code |
The code identifying the level at which the position code occurs in the configuration hierarchy. |
Part # |
The part required for executing the maintenance activity. |
Cycle # |
The occurrence of the maintenance event in the maintenance program. |
Sch # |
The schedule ID assigned to the work package. |
Maintenance Program |
The number identifying the maintenance program with which the aircraft is associated. |
Revision # |
The revision number of the maintenance program. |
Analyzing the impact of re-forecasting – An overview
Reforecasting may lead to addition or reduction of work units and change in compliance dates. You can view the impact of re-forecasting, before generating the forecast.
On launching this page, the system retrieves the arising details for the selected forecast.
