This page allows you to maintain asset identifier details for capital inventory parts.

The “Maintain Asset Identifier for Capital Inventory” page appears.

Display Option

Use the drop-down list box to select the option by which the search results will be displayed. The system lists the following options:

  • All Parts – Select this option to retrieve all parts for maintaining asset identifier details.

  • Inventoried Parts– Select this option to retrieve all stocked parts for maintaining asset identifier details.

  • Out of Inventory parts – Select this option to retrieve all parts that are out of inventory.

By default, this field is set to “All Parts”.

Associated ?

Use the drop-down list box to indicate whether the capital inventory part is associated to the asset identifier or not.

If the “Modification of Asset No. for Maintenance Assets” option is set to “Yes” in the “Set Options” activity, the system lists the options “Yes” and “No”. Else, the system displays “No” in this field.

Ref. Document Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the reference document that triggered the part creation in the inventory. The system lists the options “Goods Receipt", "Unplanned Receipt", "Opening Balance", "Stock Correction", "Loan & Rental Receipt" and "Repair Receipt".

Ref. Document #

The number identifying the reference document (Alphanumeric, 40).

Stocking Point

Use the drop-down list box to select the organizational unit in which the part is stocked. The system lists all organizational units in which the part can be stocked.

Warehouse #

The warehouse in which the part is stocked (Alphanumeric, 10). You can enter the warehouse code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character.

Part #

The number identifying the capital inventory part (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the part number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all parts that are similar to the number entered here.

Serial #

The serial number of the part (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the serial number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character.

Part Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the part type which could be "Raw Material", "Component", "Expendable", "Tool", "Consumable", "Kit" or '”Miscellaneous”. The system leaves the field blank by default.

Part Category

Use the drop-down list box to select the category to which the part belongs. The system lists all part categories defined in the “Part Administration” business component. The system leaves the field blank by default.

Parent Aircraft Reg #

The registration number of the parent aircraft (Alphanumeric, 30).

Effective Aircraft Model #

The aircraft model for which the part is applicable (Alphanumeric,20).

The system displays the search results according to the filter criteria specified. The various conditions, under which the search results are displayed, are explained in Table 1.

Details of all parts for which an asset ID is already defined. All details pertaining to the asset (FB, Cost Center, Asset Location, Book value and Tag Status) are retrieved from the “Asset Capitalization” business component. The system retrieves only those parts for which the “Tag Status” is not “Retired”.

All Parts

No

Details of all parts defined in the “Stock Maintenance” business component for which the “Expense Type” is “Capital” and “Control Type” is “Serial Controlled” or “Lot and Serial Controlled”. For parts that satisfy the above conditions and whose part type is “Component” and “Component Ownership” is “Owned”, the system retrieves all parts for which the “Stock Status” is “Internal”. Also the system retrieves all parts, which are in stock or out of stock.

Inventoried Parts

Yes

Details of all stocked parts for which the asset ID details are already defined. All details pertaining to the asset (FB, Cost Center, Asset Location, Book value and Tag Status) are retrieved from the “Asset Capitalization” business component

Inventoried Parts

No

Details of all parts defined in the “Stock Maintenance” business component for which the “Expense Type” is “Capital” and “Control Type” is “Serial Controlled” or “Lot and Serial Controlled”. For parts of type “Component”, if the component ID details are defined, the system retrieves the components for which “Component Ownership” is “Owned”. Otherwise, the system retrieves all the parts for which “Stock Status” is “Internal”.

Out of Inventory Parts

Yes

Details of all parts for which the asset ID details are already defined. All details pertaining to the asset (FB, Cost Center, Asset Location, Book value and Tag Status) are retrieved from the “Asset Capitalization” business component

Out of Inventory Parts

No

Details of all parts defined in the “Stock Maintenance” business component for which “Expense Type” is “Capital” and “Control Type” is “Serial Controlled” or “Lot and Serial Controlled”. For parts that satisfy the above conditions and whose part type is “Component” and “Component Ownership” is “Owned”, the system retrieves all parts for which the “Stock Status” is “Internal”. Also the system retrieves all parts, which are in stock or out of stock.

Note: If you have entered reference document type details, the system considers the reference document while fetching the details.

The system displays the following fields in the “Search Results” multiline:

Part #

The part number to which the component belongs.

Serial #

The serial number of the part.

Component #

The number identifying the component.

Stocking Point

The organizational unit in which the part is stocked.

Parent Aircraft Reg #

The registration number of the parent aircraft.

Warehouse #

The warehouse where the part is stocked.

WH – Zone #

The zone in which the part is stocked.

Bin #

The bin in which the part is stocked.

Asset No.

The asset number that you wish to associate to the capital inventory part (Alphanumeric, 18). Ensure that the asset number is already defined in the “Asset Capitalization” business component, if the “Maintenance Asset Tracker” business component interacts with “Asset Capitalization” business component.

Help facility available.

Asset Tag

The asset tag number that you wish to associate to the capital inventory part (Integer). Ensure that the asset tag is already defined for the asset number in the “Asset Capitalization” business component and is in “Active” status. This check is to be done only when the “Maintenance Asset Tracker” business component interacts with the “Asset Capitalization” business component.

Note: Data entry in these fields is mandatory, if you leave the “Default Option” group box blank.

If the “Sharing of Asset No.” option is set as “Not Allowed” in the “Set Options” activity, ensure that the same asset number and asset tag combination is not repeated in the multiline.

If the option “Asset FB Check with Holding Unit’s Book” is set as “Allowed” in the “Set Options” activity, ensure that the finance book of asset number and asset tag combination and the finance book of the planning base of the aircraft are same.

The system displays the following fields:

Finance Book

The finance book associated to the asset number.

Cost Center

The cost center associated to the asset number.

Asset Location code

The code identifying the asset location.

Book Value

The book value of the capital inventory.

Tag Status

The tag status of the capital inventory.

Last Modified By

The login ID of the user who last modified the asset identifier details.

Last Modified Date

The date on which the asset identifier details were last modified.

Serial # Created At

The organizational unit in which the serial number for the part is created.

Part Description

The textual description of the part.

Asset No.

The default asset number that you wish to specify for all the rows in the multiline (Alphanumeric, 18).

Asset Tag

The default asset tag that you wish to specify for all the rows in the multiline (Integer).

Help facility available.
