Managing reasons for exchange / swaps

Select the “Manage Reasons for Exchange/ Swaps” activity under the “Logistics Common Master” business component.
The “Manage Reasons for Exchange/ Swaps” page appears.
Enter the following in the “Search Criteria” group box:
Search On |
Use the drop-down list to select the filter criteria for the search. The system lists the options “Reason Code”, “Reason Description”, “Reason Type” and “Status”. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the reasons and statuses of the exchange. The system leaves the field blank by default. Enter the values for the “Reason Code” and “Reason Description” in the second field. Use the drop-down list to select the “Reason Type” and “Status” in the third field. If “Reason Type” is selected, the system lists the options “Customer” and “Internal” If “Status” is selected, the system lists the options “Active” and “Inactive” |
Click the “Search” pushbutton, to retrieve the details in the multiline.
Enter the following fields;
Reason Code |
The user defined code identifying the reason for exchange or swap of the core part. Mandatory. |
Reason Description |
The user defined textual description explaining the reason for exchange or swap of the core part. Mandatory. |
Reason Type |
Use the drop-down list to select the type of reason for the exchange or swap of the core part which could be Customer” or “Internal”. Mandatory. |
Status |
Use the drop-down list to select the status of the exchange which could be “Active” or “Inactive” |
The system displays the following fields:
Created by |
The login ID of the user who created the exchange details. |
Created Date |
The date and time on which the exchange details were created. |
Last Modified by |
The login ID of the user who modified the exchange details last. |
Last Modified Date |
The date and time on which the exchange details were last modified. |
Click the “Save” pushbutton to record details of the reason for the core part exchange or swap.
