Manage routing options

Select the “Manage Routing Options” activity under the “Logistics Common Master” business component.
The “Manage Routing Options” page appears.
Enter the following field in the “Routing Options” group box:

Post routing instruction for the Main Core – Receiving Insp. On |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the basis on which you wish the routing instructions to be posted. The system lists the following options:
The system displays “Confirm Receipt” by default in this field. |
The system displays the following field in the “Routing Event Details” multiline:

Routing Event |
A possible event where routing instruction is posted. The system displays the following possible routing events: § Rec. Inspection § Rec. WH Movement § Rec. WC Movement § Rec. Quarantine § Rec. Quarantine Resolution § Rec. Rejection § Insp. Quarantine § Insp. Quarantine Resolution § Insp. WH Movement § Insp. WC Movement § Insp. Rejection § Rej. Scrap § Rej. Shipping § Maint. Enter the following fields in the “Routing Event Details” multiline:

Post Inst. For Main Core |
Check this checkbox if you wish the routing instructions to be posted for Main Core part. Ensure that this checkbox is checked if the “Ack. Required for Spares" checkbox is checked. Leave this checkbox unchecked if the Routing Event is any of the following: · Tools Return · Loan Receipt Movement · Loan Receipt Inspection · Loan Insp. Movement · Gen. Return Movement · Dir. Return Movement · Exchange Issue · Loan Order Issue · Tools Issue · Rental Issue |

Post Inst. For Spare Parts |
Select this check box if you wish the routing instructions to be posted for Spare parts. Ensure that this check box is checked if the “Ack. Required for Spares" check box is checked. |

Ack. for Main Core |
Select this check box if you require acknowledgment for main core part every time it reaches the destination. |

Ack. for Spare Parts |
Select this check box if you require acknowledgment for spare parts every time it reaches the destination. |

Remarks |
Any comments pertaining to the routing instructions. |
The system displays the following field in the “Routing Event Details” multiline:

Created By |
The login OU of the user who created the record. |
|
Created Date |
The date on which the record was created. |
|
Last Modified by |
The employee code of the login user who last modified the record. |
|
Last Modified Date |
The date on which the record was last modified. |
Ø Select the “Save” pushbutton to save the recorded details.

Set whether posting instruction is required
Choose if acknowledgment receipt is required every time parts reach the destination
Set whether posting instruction is required
4 Use the “Routing Options” groupbox, to select when you wish the routing instruction to be posted.
4 Check the “Post Inst. For Main Core” / “Post Inst. For Spare Parts” check box in the “Routing Event Details” multiline.
4 Click “Save”.
