Planning gate maintenance activities
This page allows you to plan the maintenance activities to be performed on various flights at respective gates.
Select the “Plan Gate Maintenance” link under the “Line Planning and Control” business component.
The "Plan Gate Maintenance" page appears.
The system displays the following field:
Date & Time Format
|
The format in which the date and time fields are displayed. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date and time format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component by default. |
Enter the following in the "Station Details" group box:
Station #
|
Use the drop-down list box to specify the station for which gate maintenance activities are to be planned. The system lists all the active stations that are defined in the “Common Masters” business component. By default, the system displays the station associated to the primary work center to which the login user is mapped. |

Updating gate plan details for maintenance
In the “Gate Plan” group box, the system displays a “Gantt Chart” depicting the gate maintenance plan details. The “Gantt Chart” is plotted for a given plan date, flight number, leg number, station number, terminal number and gate number.
Using the chart, you can identify the time period for which a flight is available in the gate, which is indicated as a color bar strip extending between the expected time of arrival and expected time of departure.
The “Gantt Chart” is color coded to display the following:
"Red" - If the aircraft has any pending discrepancies.
"Blue" - If the aircraft schedule is delayed and does not have any pending discrepancies.
"Green" - If the aircraft schedule is on time and does not have any pending discrepancies.
Note: If the flight remains overnight or if the expected time of departure of the flight is not certain, the system displays “Not Available”.
Modify the gate assignments to the flights if required, and click the “Update Gate” pushbutton to update the gate plan details.
The system updates the gate number and the expected arrival / departure date and time for the flight and leg combination, and updates the gate plan details into the aircraft routing plan in the “Flight Assignment” business component.
To proceed, carry out the following
Select the “Line Package Details” tab to update the line package details for the gate, flight and plan date combination.
Select the “Update Routing Plan” tab to update routing plan for different flight number and leg number combinations.
Select the “Assign Work Group to Gate” tab to assign work group to the gate for executing line maintenance.
