Modifying the attribute values of the part
This page can be used to capture the quality attribute details of the part. Tell me more.
Select the “Edit Attribute Values” link in the “Edit Inspection Information” page.
The “Edit Attribute values” page appears.
The system displays the following:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the “User Preferences” business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default. |
The system displays the following in the “GR Details” group box:
GR # |
The number that identifies the goods receipt. |
Status |
The status of the goods receipt, which could be “Partial Inspect” or “Inspected Status”. |
Line # |
The line number containing the part for which the quality attribute details must be entered. |
GR Date |
The date on which the goods receipt was created. |
The system displays the following fields in the “Part Details” group box:
Part # |
The part number in the selected line number. |
Part Description |
The textual description of the part. |
Manufacturer Lot # |
The lot number issued by the manufacturer of the part, if the part is lot number-controlled. |
Manufacturer Serial # |
The serial number issued by the manufacturer of the part, if the part is serial number-controlled, or both serial-controlled and lot-controlled. |
Lot # |
The lot number of the part, if the part is lot number-controlled. |
Part Serial # |
The serial number of the part, if the part is serial number-controlled, or both serial-controlled and lot-controlled. |
Condition |
The condition of the part. |
Quality Attribute |
The quality attribute of the part, which could be “Standard” or “Custom”. |
The system displays the following fields in the “Attributive Details” group box:
Attribute # |
The code that identifies the quality attribute of the part. |
Attribute Type |
The type of the quality attribute, which could be “Qualitative” or “Quantitative”. |
Attribute Description |
The textual description of the attribute. |
UOM |
The unit of measurement of the attribute value, if the attribute is of the “Quantitative” type. |
Min Value Expected |
The expected minimum quantitative value of the attribute, if the attribute type is quantitative. |
Max Value Expected |
The expected maximum quantitative value of the attribute, if the attributive type is quantitative. |
Std. Value Expected |
The expected standard value of the attribute, if the attribute type is quantitative. |
Expected Qualitative Value |
The expected value of the attribute of the “Qualitative” type. For example, light brown could be a standard qualitative value for the “Color” attribute. |
Enter the following fields:
Avg. Min Value |
The average minimum quantitative value assigned to the attribute of the part (Decimal). Mandatory, if the attribute type is quantitative and the “Quality Attribute” is set as “Custom”. |
Avg. Max Value |
The average maximum quantitative value assigned to the attribute of the part (Decimal). Mandatory, if the attributive type is quantitative and the “Quality Attribute” is set as “Custom”. Ensure that this value is greater than “Avg. Min Value”. |
Avg. Value |
The average standard value assigned to the attribute of the part (Decimal). Mandatory, if the attribute type is quantitative and the “Quality Attribute” is set as “Custom”. Ensure this value is between the “Minimum Value” and “Maximum Value”. |
You cannot modify the “Minimum Value”, “Maximum Value” and “Standard Value”, if the quality attribute is set as “Standard”.
Qualitative Value |
The standard value assigned to the attribute of the “Qualitative” type. For example, light brown could be a standard qualitative value for the “Color” attribute. |
Comments |
Any additional remarks pertaining to the attribute values of the part (Alphanumeric, 255). |
Click the “Edit Attribute Values” pushbutton, to update the modifications.
The system stores the login ID of the user and the current system date.
To proceed, carry out the following
Select the “Edit References” link at the bottom of the page, to modify the reference document details for the line item in the goods receipt.
The system displays the following in the “Record Statistics” group box:
Created By |
The name of the user who created the purchase request. |
Created Date |
The date on which the purchase request was created. |
Last Modified By |
The name of the user who last modified the purchase request. |
Last Modified Date |
The date on which the purchase request was last modified. |
Modifying the attribute values of the part – An overview
On specifying the line number of the part, the system displays the part description, condition of the part and quality attributes inherited by the part. You can modify the attribute values for the part such as minimum, maximum and standard values.
The system stores the login user ID and server date along with the modified details.

You can modify the average minimum, maximum and qualitative values for the part whose “Quality Attribute” is set as “Custom” and the attribute type as “Quantitative”.
Enter the average minimum quantitative value assigned to the attribute of the part, in the “Avg. Min. Value” field.
Enter the average maximum quantitative value assigned to the attribute of the part, in the “Avg. Max Value” field.
Enter the standard value assigned to the attribute of the part, in the “Avg. Value” field.
Click the “Edit Attribute Details” pushbutton, to update the attribute detail.
