Managing lead time definition
The “Manage Lead Time Definition” screen enables the user to define the Average Lead Time to replenish the stock from RO/PO/PR etc., for float computation. This screen enables the user to define the default lead times based on rules.
Select the “Manage Lead Time Definition” activity in the “Float Management” business component.
The “Standard Lead Time Configuration” page appears.
Enter the following fields in the header section:
Lead Time For |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the option for which the lead time is maintained. The system lists the options “Purchase” and “Repair” along with a blank value. The system leaves the field blank, by default. |
Time Types |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the time types of the lead time. The system lists all the active values defined in the “Maintain Time Types for Lead Time” screen along with a blank value. The system leaves the field blank, by default. |
Rule ID |
The number identifying the Rule of the Manage Lead Time transaction. |
Rule Description |
The description of the Rule ID. |
Value |
The lead time value. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to retrieve the previously saved Time Types for Lead Time.
Enter the following fields in the multiline:
Lead Time For |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the option for which the lead time is maintained. The system lists the options “Purchase” and “Repair” and Defaults Purchase.. |
Time Type |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the time types of the lead time. The system lists all the values defined in the “Maintain Time Types for Lead Time” screen. |
Rule ID |
The number identifying the Rule of the Manage Lead Time Definition transaction. The number gets generated based on the numbering Type set in the “Maintain Numbering Privileges” activity of the “Document Numbering Class” business component. |
Rule Desc. |
The description of the Rule ID. |
Rule |
Click the Rule icon to define rules for time types. On click of the Rule icon “Additional Parameters ” pop-up appears. Note: The Rule icon appears in ‘green’ colour if the rule parameters are defined, else the rule icon appears in ‘grey’ colour. |
Rule Value |
The rule value defined in the “Standard Lead Time Configuration” pop-up. The system displays all the saved parameters along with the ‘And’ and ‘Or’ operators as defined in the pop-up. |
Value |
The lead time value. |
Unit |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the unit of measurement of the Rule value. The system lists the values “Calendar Days” and “Business Days”. |
Remarks |
Any textual description pertaining to the Rule ID transaction. |
Effective From |
The starting date from which the Rule ID is effective. |
Effective To |
The ending date until which the Rule ID is effective. |
Updated by |
The name of the user who updated the Rule ID transaction. |
Updated Date & Time |
The date and time at which the Rule ID was updated. |
Created By |
The name of the user who created the Rule ID transaction. |
Created Date & Time |
The date and time at which the Rule ID was created. |
Confirmed By |
The user who confirmed the Rule ID transaction. |
Confirmed Date & Time |
The date and time in which the Rule ID transaction was confirmed. |
Click the “Save” pushbutton to record the Lead Time Configuration details.
Select the Rule icon in the multiline of the “Manage Default Lead Time” activity.
The “Additional Parameters” pop-up appears.
The system displays the following fields in the “Rule Info” section:

The unique number identifying the rule. |
Rule Description |
The description of the Rule ID. |
Effective From |
The date from which the Rule ID is effective. |
Effective To |
The date up to which the Rule ID is effective. |
Select the “AND” tile to retrieve the value that satisfies all the filters.
Select the “OR” tile to retrieve the value that satisfies any one of the filters.
Select the “Not True” checkbox to retrieve the value that does not satisfy the filters.
Enter the following fields to perform the advanced search:
