Viewing cause codes associated with the selected fault code
This page allows you to view the cause code information that is associated with the selected fault code. You can view the description and status of cause codes that are associated to the selected fault code.
Select the “View Cause Code” link in the “View Fault Codes” page.
The “View Cause Code” page appears.
The system displays the following in the “Fault Details” group box:
ATA # |
The ATA chapter under which the selected fault code is listed. |
Chapter Description |
The textual description of the ATA chapter. Zoom facility available. |
Fault # |
The fault code selected in the previous page for which the cause code details are listed. |
Fault Description |
The textual description of the selected fault code. Zoom facility available. |
Base Aircraft Model # |
The number identifying the base aircraft model to which the fault code is associated. |
Model Description |
The textual description of the base aircraft model number. |
Fault Code Type |
The fault code type as “OEM” or “Airline” |
Fault Category |
The fault code category as “Cabin” or “Observed”. Zoom facility available. |
The system displays the following in the “Cause Details” group box:
Cause # |
The number identifying the cause code associated with the selected fault code. |
Cause Description |
The textual description of the cause code. |
Status |
The status of the cause code as “Active” or “Inactive”. |
To proceed, carry out the following
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the cause code to view work unit details.
Select the “View Fault Resolution Procedure ” link at the bottom of the page to view the work unit information for the selected fault code and cause code.

Work units are tasks or standard procedures that you need to perform to eliminate the fault. Work units are associated with different cause codes.
Select the cause code listed in the multiline under which the work unit you need to view is listed.
Select the “View Work Units” link to view the work unit details.
