Updating model effectivity for a cause code
Select the “Edit Model Effectivity” link in the “Edit Cause Code” page.
The “Edit Model Effectivity” page appears.
The system displays the following in the “Cause Details” group box:

Enter the following in the “Aircraft Model Details” multiline:
Aircraft Model # |
The aircraft model for which the cause code is applicable (Alphanumeric, 20). Mandatory. Ensure that the aircraft model is already defined in the “Create Aircraft Model” activity under “Aircraft” business component and is in “Active” status. Help facility available. |
The system displays the following:
Model Type |
The model type of the selected aircraft model. |
Model Description |
The textual description of the selected aircraft model. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline, to mark the aircraft model for deletion.
Click the Delete icon in the toolbar above the multiline, to delete the selected aircraft model details.
Note: If you delete an aircraft model from the multiline, then the system ensures that no fault code, along with its cause codes, is associated to the deleted aircraft model number.
Click the “Edit Model Effectivity” pushbutton at the bottom of the page, to update the model details for the selected cause code.
Updating model effectivity for a cause code – An overview
In this page, you can specify the aircraft models to which the cause codes are applicable. The system updates the model effectivity details and associates them with the selected cause code. You can also detach aircraft models that are already associated with the selected cause code.
