Create Quick Codes – A summary of the activity

Engineering Adivice Note - An overview

Quick codes are user-defined values, used to categorize the engineering advice notes based on certain characteristics. The basic quick code types are defined in the system. This activity allows you to define the quick code values for the different quick code types. These values are used in all the other engineering advice note activities.

The quick code types such as “EAN category” and “User Status” are predefined in the system. Values can be defined for each of these quick code types. For example, the quick code type “User Status” can contain quick codes such as “Waiting for Approval” and “Waiting for Verification” and the quick code type “EAN Category” can contain quick codes such as “High”, “Top Priority”, “Medium” or “Low”.

You can define a quick code for a specific quick code type, by providing a unique identifier and a description for it. The quick code should be unique for the organizational unit. The system assigns the "Active" status as soon as the quick code is created and sets the created date and time to the server date and time.
