Reviewing / reinitiating data replication
In this page, you can review the status of replication from the source point of view and from the recipient point of view. The unsuccessful data propagation can be reinitiated after clearing the exceptions.
Select the “Review / Reinitiate Data Replication” activity under the “Data Replication Review” business component.
The “Review / Reinitiate Data Replication” page appears.
Enter the following in the “Search Criteria” group box:
From / To Date |
The date range for which the replication records are to be retrieved in the multiline. The system defaults ‘To Date’ as current date and ‘From Date’ as 30 days earlier to the current date. |
From / To OU |
Use the drop-down list and select the Operating Unit to retrieve and display all the data replicated from the selected OU to all other OUs. The system lists all the Subscriber IDs of the Source Operating Units in ‘Active’ status, which are participating in the data replication. In the adjacent drop-down list box, select the Operating Unit to retrieve and display all the data replicated to the selected OU from the Source OUs. The system lists only those Subscriber IDs of the Operating Units in ‘Active’ status, which are participating in the data replication, for which login user has access rights. |
Replication Mode |
Use the drop-down list and select one of the following Replication Modes.
By default, the system leaves the field blank. |
Functional Area |
Use the drop-down list and select the functional area to retrieve and display the entities corresponding to the selected functional area. The system lists the options “All”, “Maintenance”, “Materials”, “Finance”, “Sales” and “HRMS”. By default, the system displays “All”. |
Entity |
Use the drop-down list box and select the entity to retrieve the information corresponding to the selected entity. The system lists all the Entities corresponding to the Functional Area selected. If Functional Area is selected as “All”, the system lists all the entities available across all the Functional Areas. Only those entities whose Replication Strategy is selected as ‘Full’ and ‘Initial’ in “Setup Data Entities for Replication” screen, are listed here. By default, the system displays “All”. |
Display Option |
Use the drop-down list and select the display option as one of the following:
By default, the system displays “Source Info”, if ‘From OU’ and ‘To OU’ are same. If ‘From OU’ and ‘To OU' are different, the system defaults “Recipient Info”. |
Replication Status |
Check one of the following boxes:
|
Reviewed? |
Use the drop-down list box and select “Yes” to retrieve and displays replication records that are reviewed. Select “No” to retrieve and display replication records that are not reviewed. By default, the system leaves the field blank. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton.
The system displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline:
Functional Area |
The functional area associated to the entity. |
Entity |
The entity comprising the data element replicated across operating units. |
Entity # |
The code identifying the entity. |
Replication Mode |
The Replication Mode which could be ‘New”, “Mod” or “Delete”. |
Replication Status |
The Replication Status of the replication record, which could be “Pending”, “Success”, “Success-Req. Review” or “Failure”. |
Remarks |
Any remarks / error messages related to the replication. For example, if Replication is 'Success-Req. Review' or, 'Failure', the corresponding error messages due to which replication requires review / got failed, will be displayed here. |
The system displays the following:
Manage Links |
Click
the hyperlinked image ‘ |
Check the following box:
Reviewed? |
Check this box to save the replication records as “Reviewed”, on clicking the “Save” pushbutton. |
Enter the following in the multiline:
Comments |
Any comments entered by the user. |
The system displays the following:
Replicated Date / Time |
The date / time at which the data was replicated. |
From OU |
The Operating Unit from which the data is replicated. |
To OU |
The Operating Unit to which the data is replicated. If the Display Option is selected as ‘Source Info’, then the value selected in ‘To OU’ will get overridden. |
Entity Created By |
The login ID of the user who created the entity. |
Entity Modified By |
The login ID of the user who modified the entity. |
Reviewed / Reinitiated By |
The login ID of the user who reviewed / reinitiated data replication. |
Reinitiated Date / Time |
The date / time at which the data replication is reinitiated. |
Click the “Save” pushbutton to save the reviewed records.
Only those records whose Replication Status is “Success” or “Success-Req. Review”, can be saved as “Reviewed”.
Click the “Reinitiate” pushbutton to reinitiate data replication.
The system displays error message, if any concurrent user attempts to modify the replication records retrieved in the multiline.
The system allows reinitiation of records only if the Replication Status is “Failure”.
If the Source has replicated an entity (say Part) to 5 OUs out of which 3 got failed and 2 got successfully replicated, then if the Display Option is selected as “Source Info” the system derives the Replication Status as “Failed”.
