This page allows you to enter work scope details for the sub-components. Tell me more.

The “Edit Sub-component Work Scope” page appears.

The system displays the following field:

Date Format

The format in which the date field is displayed. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component by default.

The system displays the following fields in the “Customer Order Details” group box:

Customer Order #

The customer order for which the work unit information for sub-components must be entered

Amendment #

The amendment number of the customer order

Status

The status of the customer order

Sub-component Line #

Use the drop-down list box to select the sub-component line number for entering work unit information. The system lists all sub-components associated with the customer order.

The system displays the following fields:

Position Code

The position code to which the sub-component is attached

Part #

The part number to which the sub-component belongs

Part Serial #

The part serial number of the sub-component

Part Description

The textual description of the part

Zoom facility available

Customer Order Line #

Use the drop-down list box to select the customer order line number for estimation. The system lists only the line numbers with the “Estimation Required (Y/N)” field set as “Yes”.

The system displays the following field:

Discrepancy Count

The number of discrepancies associated with the customer order line number

The system displays the following fields:

Repair Process Code

The code identifying the repair process associated with the customer order line number

Customer Task Card #

The number identifying the customer task card

Maintenance Type

The maintenance type of the work unit. The system lists the following:

  • Overhaul – indicates that the work unit is carried out for overhauling

  • Repair – indicates that the work unit is carried out for repairing

  • Inspection – indicates that the work unit is carried out for inspection

  • Others – indicates that the work unit is carried out to perform other maintenance jobs

Work Unit Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the work unit type. The system lists the options:

  • Task – to perform a task

  • Standard Procedure – to perform a standard procedure, which is a set of tasks

  • Aircraft Work Package – to perform a work package defined for an aircraft

  • Component Work Package – to perform a work package defined for a component

  • Engineering Order – to perform an engineering change as advocated by an engineering order

Work Unit #

The number identifying the work unit (Alphanumeric, 40).

  • If the work unit is of type “Task”, then ensure that the task number entered in this field is already defined in the “Maintenance Task” business component and is in the “Active” status. The revision number of the task, if any, should be a valid revision number for the task.

  • If the work unit is of type “Standard Procedure”, then ensure that the standard procedure number entered in this field is already defined in the “Maintenance Task” business component and is in the “Active” status.

  • If the work unit is of type “Aircraft Work Package”, then ensure that the aircraft work package number entered in this field is already defined in the “Maintenance Program” business component and is in the “Active” status.

  • If the work unit is of type “Component Work Package”, then ensure that the component work package number entered in this field is already defined in the “Component Maintenance Program” business component and is in the “Active” status.

  • If the work unit is of type “Engineering Order”, then ensure that the engineering order number entered in this field is already defined in the “Engineering Order” business component and is in the “Active” status.

Revision #

The revision number of the work unit (Alphanumeric, 40)

The system displays the following field:

The textual description of the work unit

Zoom facility available

Work Center #

Use the drop-down list box to select the work center in which the work unit must be performed. The system lists all the work centers defined under the primary work center selected for customer order execution in the “Create Customer Order” page. The primary work center is also displayed.

Est. Man Hrs.

The man hours estimated to complete the work unit (Decimal). Ensure that the value entered is positive.

Non-routine Man Hrs.

The total man hours estimated to complete the non-routine work unit (Decimal). Ensure that the value entered is positive.

Resource Price: Flat

The flat price for resource utilization (Decimal)

Est. Resource Price

The price estimated for resource utilization (Decimal)

Material Price: Flat

The flat price for material usage (Decimal)

Est. Material Price

The price estimated for material usage (Decimal)

Embodiment Fee

The fee charged by the service provider for holding parts supplied by the customer (Decimal)

Misc. Cost

The miscellaneous cost that will be incurred by the work unit execution (Decimal)

Work Unit Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the work unit type. The system lists the options:

  • Task – to perform a task

  • Standard Procedure – to perform a standard procedure, which is a set of tasks

  •  Aircraft Work Package – to perform a work package defined for an aircraft

  • Component Work Package – to perform a work package defined for a component

  • Engineering Order – to perform an engineering change as advocated by an engineering order

Work Unit #

The number identifying the work unit that must be performed on the maintenance object (Alphanumeric, 40)

  • If the work unit is of type “Task”, then ensure that the task number entered in this fieldis already defined in the “Maintenance Task” business component and is in the “Active” status. The revision number of the task, if any, should be a valid revision number for the task.

  • If the work unit is of type “Standard Procedure”, then ensure that the standard procedure number entered in this fieldis already defined in the “Maintenance Task” business component and is in the “Active” status.

  • If the work unit is of type “Aircraft Work Package”, then ensure that the aircraft work package number entered in this field is already defined in the “Maintenance Program” business component and is in the “Active” status.

  • If the work unit is of type “Component Work Package”, then ensure that the component work package number entered in this field is already defined in the “Component Maintenance Program” business component and is in the “Active” status.

  • If the work unit is of type “Engineering Order”, then ensure that the engineering order number entered in this field is already defined in the “Engineering Order” business component and is in the “Active” status.

Work Center #

Use the drop-down list box to select the work center in which the work unit must be performed. The system lists all the work centers defined under the primary work center selected for the customer order execution in the “Create Customer Order” page. The primary work center is also displayed.

Billable (Y/N)

Use the drop-down list box to specify whether work unit execution must be billed or not. The system lists the options “Yes” and “No”.

Est. Elapsed Time

The time estimated to complete the work unit (Decimal)

Time UOM

Use the drop-down list box to select the unit of measurement of the time. The system lists the options “Minutes”, “Hours” and “Days”.

Est. Man Hrs.

The man hours estimated to complete the work unit (Decimal). Ensure that the value entered is positive.

Non-routines Est. Man Hrs.

The total man hours estimated to complete the non-routine work unit (Decimal). Ensure that the value entered is positive.

Resource Price: Flat

The flat price for resource utilization (Decimal)

Est. Resource Price

The price estimated for resource utilization (Decimal)

Material Price: Flat

The flat price for material usage (Decimal)

Est. Material Price

The price estimated for material usage (Decimal)

Total Est. Material Price

The total price estimated for material usage

Embodiment Fee

The fee charged by the service provider for holding parts supplied by the customer (Decimal)

Misc. Cost

The miscellaneous cost that will be incurred by the work unit execution (Decimal)

Entering sub-component work scope details – An overview

Estimate Customer Order - A summary of the activity

This page enables you to enter detailed work scope information for the customer order line number and sub-component line number combination. You can enter the details of work units such as work unit number, revision number, work unit type, work center, whether the work unit is billable, estimated time and man hours and pricing details.
