Entering sub-component work scope details
This page allows you to enter work scope details for the sub-components. Tell me more.
Select the “Edit Sub-component Work Scope” link in the “Edit Sub-component Details” page.
The “Edit Sub-component Work Scope” page appears.
The system displays the following field:
Date Format |
The format in which the date field is displayed. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component by default. |
The system displays the following fields in the “Customer Order Details” group box:

The customer order for which the work unit information for sub-components must be entered |
Amendment # |
The amendment number of the customer order |
Status |
The status of the customer order |
Enter the following fields in the “Sub-components Details” group box:
Sub-component Line # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the sub-component line number for entering work unit information. The system lists all sub-components associated with the customer order. |

Position Code |
The position code to which the sub-component is attached |
Part # |
The part number to which the sub-component belongs |
Part Serial # |
The part serial number of the sub-component |

The textual description of the part Zoom facility available |
Enter the following fields in the “Work Unit Details” group box:
Customer Order Line # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the customer order line number for estimation. The system lists only the line numbers with the “Estimation Required (Y/N)” field set as “Yes”. |

Discrepancy Count |
The number of discrepancies associated with the customer order line number |
Click the “Get Details” pushbutton to retrieve the customer order line number details.

The man hours estimated to complete the work unit (Decimal). Ensure that the value entered is positive. |
Non-routine Man Hrs. |
The total man hours estimated to complete the non-routine work unit (Decimal). Ensure that the value entered is positive. |

The flat price for resource utilization (Decimal) |
Est. Resource Price |
The price estimated for resource utilization (Decimal) |

Use the drop-down list box to select the unit of measurement of the time. The system lists the options “Minutes”, “Hours” and “Days”. |

The man hours estimated to complete the work unit (Decimal). Ensure that the value entered is positive. |

The total man hours estimated to complete the non-routine work unit (Decimal). Ensure that the value entered is positive. |

Click the “Edit Estimates” pushbutton to save the estimated details for the sub-component work scope.
The system performs the following on updation:
Updates the part requirements for the work units entered in the multiline. Based on the work unit type, the part requirements are updated from “Maintenance Task”, “Maintenance Program”, “Component Maintenance Program” and “Engineering Order” business components respectively.
Updates the resource requirements for the work units entered in the multiline. Based on the work unit type, the resource requirements are updated from “Maintenance Task”, “Maintenance Program”, “Component Maintenance Program” and “Engineering Order” business components respectively.
Retrieves the taxes and charges details for the customer order from the “Pricing Settings” business component
Entering sub-component work scope details – An overview
This page enables you to enter detailed work scope information for the customer order line number and sub-component line number combination. You can enter the details of work units such as work unit number, revision number, work unit type, work center, whether the work unit is billable, estimated time and man hours and pricing details. You can enter flat and estimated material price, flat and estimated resource price, embodiment fee and miscellaneous cost as pricing information.
What you can do in this activity
You can enter general information pertaining to the work unit.
Enter “Work Unit Type”, “Work Unit #”, “Revision”, “Maintenance Type”, “Customer Task Card”, “AMM/CMM Item #” and “Description” fields for the work unit.
You can enter the time and man hours estimated for work unit execution.
Enter “Est. Elapsed Time” and “Est. Man Hrs.” fields in the “Work Unit Details” multiline.
Select the appropriate “Time UOM” for estimated elapsed time.
Enter the man hours estimated for carrying out non-routine tasks in “Non-routines Est. Man Hrs.” field.
You can enter the flat and estimated price details for both material and resource utilization.
Enter the flat and estimated price for material usage.
Enter the flat and estimated price for resource utilization.
