The “Transfer Data” page appears.

The system displays the following:

Date & Time Format

The format in which the date and time fields are displayed. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user id. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component by default.

Operation Mode

Use the drop-down list box to load or extract data package from main base or offline base, based on the ‘Usage Mode’.

  • Extract - Select this option to extract the data package from main base or offline base.

  • Load - Select this option to load the extracted data package in the main base or offline base.

The system displays “Extract”, by default.

Extract Operation

The system displays the “Extract Operation” section and hides the ‘Load Operation’ section, if the option “Extract” is selected in the ‘Operation Mode” drop-down list box.

The following fields are displayed:

Requested on

The date of request of latest data package extracted from the respective base. Base may be ‘Online’ or ‘Offline’ identified by the Usage Mode.

Requested by

The name of the login user who requested the latest data package extracted from the respective base.

Usage Mode

The usage mode which indicates whether the transactions are carried out from main base or offline field base. The following values are displayed based on the option settings in the “Configure Offline Parameters” activity of the current business component.

  • Online: Main Base

  • Offline: Offline Area #

Request #

The request number generated when the request is made for extracting data.

Status

The status of the data extraction processes. The system displays one of the following values:

  • Extract Requested - Indicates that Request # is generated and data package is in process.

  • Extract-Initiated - Indicates that extraction of data package is initiated.

  • Extract In-Progress - Indicates that data extraction process is in progress.

  • Extract Failed - Indicates that data extraction is failed.

  • Extracted - Indicates that data package is extracted from the respective database.

Message Center

Any error message / instruction is displayed in case of extraction failures or when no data is available for the Request #.

The system does not allow you to extract data on following conditions:

Load Operation

The system displays the “Load Operation” section and hides the ‘Extract Operation’ section, if you select “Load” in the ‘Operation Mode” drop-down list box. Load operation is performed automatically by the scheduler.

  1. On detection of a file in the path by the file watcher, system the draws an entry in the table marking the status of File as "Load- Requested". Note that manual intervention must be avoided, unless the selected data package is a failure one.

  2. Scheduler is set at regular intervals to read the table and ensure the presence of data. On initiation of package loading process by the scheduler, the status of selected package will be changed to "Load In-Progress".

  3. On successful completion of loading, the status of package is changed to "Loaded".

  4. In case of failure, the status of package is changed to "Load-Failed".

The system displays following in the “Load Operation” group box:

Loaded on

The date on which the data package is loaded in the main base or offline base identified based on the Usage Mode.

Loaded by

The name of the login user who loaded the data package.

Usage Mode

The usage mode which indicates whether the transactions are carried out from main base or offline field base. The following values are displayed based on the option setting in the “Configure Offline Parameters” activity of the current business component.

  •  Online: Main Base

  •  Offline: Offline Area #

Request #

The request number generated when request is made for loading data.

Status

The status of the data loading process. The system displays one of the following values:

  • Load Requested - Indicates that Request # is generated and data package is in process.

  • Load In-Progress - Indicates that data loading activity is in progress.

  • Load Failed - Indicates that data loading is failed due to dependency / space / force shut down of laptop.

  • Loaded - Indicates that data package is loaded in the respective database in the specified path.

Load Path

The path in which the data package is loaded.

Message Center

An error message is displayed in case of loading failures.

The system displays the following in the “Load Operation Details” multiline:

Note: The system retrieves and displays all pending load packages, in-progress packages actioned by the scheduler, in the multiline.

Offline Area #

The code identifying the offline area.

Request #

The request number generated when request is made for loading data.

Status

The status of the data loading process. The system displays one of the following values:

  • Load Requested - Indicates that Request # is generated and data package is in process.

  • Load In-Progress - Indicates that data loading activity is in progress.

  • Load Failed - Indicates that data loading is failed due to dependency / space / force shut down of laptop.

From Date

The starting date / time of extraction of a data package.

To Date

The ending date / time of extraction of a data package.

Message Center

Any action related to the data package is displayed in this field. For example, relevant messages are displayed when data package is run by the scheduler, or when data package failure happens.

Loaded by / Date

The system displays one of the following values:

  • ‘System’ / date on which loading happens, if the loading is done automatically by the scheduler without any user action.

  • User name / date on which loading happens, if the loading happens by user action for failed packages.

Note: The system displays an error message if any concurrent user attempts to modify the records in the multiline.

Note: Only failed packages can be manually loaded by the user.
