Viewing child component On/Off history
You can view the details regarding the child components that are attached or removed from a selected aircraft or the parent component. The child component details will not be displayed, if no components have been attached to the selected position code till date.
Select the “Child On/Off History” tab in the “View Configuration Review” page.
The system displays the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box:
Aircraft Reg # |
The registration number of the aircraft. |
Click the hyperlinked aircraft registration number to view the aircraft details.
Parent Component # |
The number identifying the parent component. |

Parent Part # |
The number identifying the parent part. |
Parent Serial # |
The serial number of the parent component. |
Note: If the component selected in the “Aircraft/Component Configuration” tree is not attached to any aircraft as on date, the system retrieves only the parent component number.
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box, to search for a component:
Child Component # |
The number identifying the child component (Alphanumeric, 90). You can enter the child component number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves the component replacement details for the child component specified here. |
Reason for Removal |
The reason for the component replacement transaction (Alphanumeric, 25). You can enter the reason for removal in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves the component replacement details associated to the removal reason specified here. |
Child Part # |
The number identifying the child part (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the child part number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves the component replacement details associated to the child part number specified here. |
Child Serial # |
The serial number of the child component (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the child serial number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves the component replacement details associated to the child serial number specified here. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to display the search results.
The system displays the following fields in the “Search Results” multiline:
Transaction Date & Time |
The date and time at which the child component is attached/removed from the aircraft or parent component. |
Transaction Type |
Indicates the type of transaction on the child component. The system displays one of the following:

Note: If the child component is involved in both removal and attachment transactions, the removal transaction details for the child component will be retrieved in the first set of multiline rows, followed by the attachment transaction details. |

Child Component # |
The number identifying the child component. |
Click the hyperlinked child component number to view the child component details.
Part # |
The number identifying the part. |
Serial # |
The serial number of the child component. |
Position Code |
The position code to which the child component is associated. |
Level Code |
The code identifying the level at which the child component ID and the position code occurs in the component configuration hierarchy. |
Transaction # |
The number identifying the attachment/removal of child component from the aircraft or parent component. |
Note: The system displays “Readiness Log” if the component is attached through the “Edit Aircraft Readiness Log” page or “Initialize Component Assembly” page of the “Configuration” business component.
Note: The system displays the “Component Replacement Transaction #” for the child component also, if the parent component is removed through any component replacement transaction.
Reason For Removal |
The reason for the component replacement transaction. This field will be blank, if only component attachment transaction is performed for the aircraft or the parent component. |
Transaction By |
The user who performed the attachment/removal of child component from the aircraft or parent component. |
Flight Hours |
The flight hours of the child component at the time of attaching it, or removing it, from the aircraft / parent component. |
Flight Cycles |
The flight cycles of the child component at the time of attaching it, or removing it, from the aircraft / parent component. |
Note: The system retrieves 100 records at a time in the multiline.
Click the “Previous” pushbutton to view the set of records existing prior to the set of records currently displayed in the multiline.
Click the “Next” pushbutton to view the set of records existing next to the set of records currently displayed in the multiline.

Note: This page can be invoked only if the aircraft specified in the “Aircraft Reg #” field has at least one maintenance program associated to it.
