Maintain Quick Codes – A summary of the activity

Claims - An Overview

Quick codes are user-defined values, used to categorize details based on certain characteristics. The basic quick code types for claims are defined in the system. You can define the quick code values for each of these quick code types, using this activity. These quick codes are later used in other activities, where the details are classified. The classification of details, based on quick codes, is to enable effective data analysis.

This activity allows you to create quick codes for the “Claims" business component. The basic quick code types such as "Claim Category”, “Claim User Status", "Claim Implication”, “Expense Category”, “Correspondence Category” and “Correspondence Status” are defined in the system. Quick codes can be defined under each of these quick code types.

You can define the quick code values for the quick code type, by providing a unique identifier and a description for it. The quick code should be unique for the organizational unit. As soon as the quick code is created, the system updates the “Created By” field with the login user name and sets the created date to the server date. This activity also allows you to modify the quick code details such as description, default value and status. You can search for the existing quick codes based on the quick code type and status. The system retrieves all the quick codes in the status specified, for the selected quick code type. The system updates the “Last Modified By” field with login user name and sets the last modified date to the current server date.
