Select the “Maintain Quick Codes” link under the “Claims” business component.
The “Maintain Quick Codes” page appears.
The system displays the following:
Date Format |
The format in which the date field is displayed. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user id. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component by default. |
Enter the following details in the “Search Criteria” group box:
Quick Code Type |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the type for which the quick code must be created. The system provides the options "Claim Category”, “Claim User Status", "Claim Implication”, “Expense Category”, “Correspondence Category”, “Correspondence Status” and "Processing Status". The system displays the value “Claim Category” by default. |
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the quick code. The system provides the options “Active” and “Inactive”. The system leaves the field blank by default. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to retrieve the quick codes in the multiline.
Modify the following details in the “Quick Code Details” multiline:
Quick Code |
A unique identifier for the quick code (Alphanumeric, 25). Mandatory. |
Note: You cannot modify the name of the existing quick code.
Description |
The textual description of the quick code (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory. |
Default? |
Use the drop-down list box and select the option “Yes” if any default quick code value has to be set. Else, set this field to “No”. The system displays the value “No” by default. |
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the quick code. The system provides the options “Active” and “Inactive”. The system displays the value “Active” by default. |
Note: Ensure that at least one record is selected in the multiline for processing.
The system displays the following details:
Created By |
The name of the login user who created the quick code. |
Created Date |
The date on which the quick code was created. |
Last Modified By |
The name of the login user who last updated the details of the quick code. |
Last Modified Date |
The date on which the quick code details was last modified. |
Modify the following:

Use the drop-down list box and select “Yes”, to specify that the selected quick code type will be a mandatory field to be selected/entered in various operations to be performed in different user-interfaces of the “Claims” business component. Else, set this field to “No”. The system displays the value “No” by default. |
Click the “Maintain Quick Codes” pushbutton to create or modify the quick code details.
Note: You cannot modify the quick code type for any existing record in the multiline.
Note: The system ensures that only one default quick code value is set for a quick code type in the multiline.
