Central Data Replication Configurator - An overview
Data Replication is imperative when there are multiple operating companies and when similar actions are to be carried out repeatedly in all the operating companies. For instance, when an entity e.g. part is created in one operating unit and the same part needs to be created in another operating unit, ‘Replication’ plays a vital role in this scenario.
Data Replication is a complex process which requires centralized control across the participating Operating Units (OUs). Configurator is introduced as a centralized framework to manage and control data replication across all participating OUs. The “Central Data Replication Configurator” business component facilitates the following:
Master Data control across OUs
Data Sharing between multiple OUs
Acknowledges OUs participating in Data Replication
Manages rules for Data Replication across OUs
Reduces data definition and inconsistencies
