Reporting updation of component condition
This page allows you to report and update details of components associated to a component work order. Tell me more.
Select the "Report Component Condition Updation" link in the "Report Component Work Order Actuals" page.
The "Report Component Condition Updation” page appears.
The system displays the following:
Date & Time Format |
The format in which the date and time fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date and time format from the "Enterprise Modeling" component by default. |
The system displays the following in the “CWO Details” group box:
Component Work Order # |
The number that identifies the component work order selected in the previous page. |
CWO Description |
The textual description of the component. Zoom facility available. |
Part # |
The part number of the component on which the CWO is generated. |
Part Description |
The textual description of the part. |
Serial # |
The serial number of the component |
Component # |
The number that identifies the component on which the CWO is generated. |
CWO Status |
The status of the component work order. |
Component Condition |
The condition of the component. Zoom facility available. |
The system displays the following in the “Associated Components” multiline:
Component # |
The number identifying the component associated with the component work order. |
Part # |
The part number of the component associated with the component work order. |
Part Serial # |
The serial number of the component associated with the component work order. |
Component Condition |
The condition of the component associated with the component work order. |
Enter the following details:
Update Condition To |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the updated condition of the component once the maintenance work has been carried out. The system provides the options: “Overhauled”, “Serviceable” and "Phased Out" as options. The system leaves the field blank by default. |
Note: A component with “Overhaul” condition can be updated to “Overhauled” condition only. A component with “repair”, “Inspection” or “Others” condition can be updated to “Serviceable” condition only. You cannot update the condition of a component that is in the “Phased Out” condition.
Maintenance Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of maintenance work that has to be performed on the component. The system lists all the maintenance types defined in the “Common Master” business component. |
Job Completion Status |
Use the drop-down list box to specify whether maintenance work has been completed on the component. The system provides the options: “Not Completed” and “Completed” and displays “Not Completed” by default. |
Remarks |
Any remarks, if applicable, to the associated component (Alphanumeric, 255). |
The system displays the following:
Part Description |
The textual description of the part. |
Last Modified By |
The name of the user who last modified the associated component details. |
Last Modified Date |
The date on which the associated component details were last modified. |
Enter the following in the “Additional details” group box:

Any additional information about the components associated to the component work order (Alphanumeric, 255). Zoom facility available. |
Click the “Update Component Condition” pushbutton to update the component condition details.
Note: The system updates the component condition as specified in the “Update condition to” field. The “Last updated date” is updated with the current date and the “Last modified by” with the name of the login user.
You cannot modify the status of the component, if the condition of the component has already updated as Phased-Out”.
Note: If the Component that is getting phased out is of expense type “Capital”, then system updates the status of corresponding Asset ID & Asset Tag as either 'Marked for Retirement' or 'Marked for Retirement - Partial' in the “Aircraft” business component.
If the condition of the component is changed to “Phased-Out”, the system performs the following:
Updates the condition of the main component as well as the child components attached to the main component, as “Inactive”.
Removes all the pending work units of the main component and the child components from the pending tray.
Removes the next schedule dates of the work units (for the phased-out component) in the “Component Maintenance Program” business component and updates the last performed date for the retirement work units.
Posts the financial entries to the relevant account codes in the "Finance Book Processing" business component, for the work order.

This page allows you to report and update details of components associated to a component work order. The condition of the component can be updated and the job completion status can also be specified in this page. Any additional comments about the associated components can also be entered.
