Reporting CWO or task details for the resource
This page allows you to enter the utililzation details that you need to update for the selected resource. Tell me more.
Select the “Report Resource Actuals - Facilities” link at the bottom of the “Select Resource” page.
The “Report Resource Actuals - Facilities” page appears.
The system displays the following field:
Date & Time Format |
The format in which the date and time fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date and time format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default. |
The system displays the following fields in the “Resource Details” group box:
Facility # |
The resource facility selected in the previous page. |
Facility Type |
The type of resource, which could be “Equipment”, “Tool”, or “Others”. |
Facility Object # |
The number identifying the facility object. |
Facility Description |
The textual description of the resource facility. Zoom facility available. |
Work Center # |
The number that identifies the work center to which the resource is mapped. |
Work Center Description |
The textual description of the work center. Zoom facility available. |
Enter the following in the “Update Details” group box:
Default From Date |
The default start date, of the task (Date Format). Ensure this date is not later than the current system date or earlier than the scheduled start date for the tasks entered in the multiline. |
Default From Time |
The default start time of the task in the specified time format (Time Format). |
Default To Date |
The default end date, of the task (Date Format). Ensure this date is not later than the current system date or earlier than the scheduled start date for the tasks entered in the multiline. |
Default To Time |
The default end time of the task in the specified time format (Time Format). |
Note: If the date and time fields for the tasks are left blank in the multiline, the system sets “Default From Date”, “Default From Time”, “Default To Date” and “Default To Time”, in the respective multiline columns. This type of updation is done, when several tasks in the multiline have the same start date and end date and time.
Enter the following in the “Utilization Details For the Period” multiline:
Comp. Work Order # |
The number of the component work order for which the resource is used (Alphanumeric, 18). Mandatory. |

The system displays the following:
CWO Status |
The status of the component work order, which is either “Inprogress” or “Completed” or “Scheduled”. |
Scheduled - When the component work order is scheduled. | |
In-Progress - When the execution of the component work order is in progress. | |
Completed - When the execution of the component work order is completed. |
Enter the following:
Task # |
The task for which the resource is used (Alphanumeric, 30). Mandatory, if “Seq #” field is entered. |

Seq # |
The sequence for execution of the task within the component work order (Integer). |
The system displays the following:
Task Status |
The status of the task, which could be “Scheduled” “Inprogress” or “Completed”. |
Scheduled - When the task is scheduled. | |
In-Progress - When the execution of the task is in progress. | |
Completed - When the execution of the task is completed. | |
Work Center # |
The number that identifies the work center in which the task is executed. |
Revision # |
The task revision number that helps in tracing the changes made to the task. |
Enter the following:
Time Unit |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the unit of measurement for the resource time, which could be “Minutes”, “Hours”, or “Days”. The system sets the field to “Hours” by default. |
Used Duration |
The total time taken to complete the task (Decimal). |
From Date |
The actual date on which the task was started (Date Format). This date should not be later than the current system date or the scheduled start date for the task. |
From Time |
The actual time at which the task was started (Time Format). |
To Date |
The actual date on which the task was completed (Date Format). This date should not be later than the current system date or the scheduled end date for the task. |
To Time |
The time of completion of the task (Time Format). |
Comments |
Any additional remarks pertaining to the utilization of the resource (Alphanumeric, 255). |
Note: If the "From Date", "From Time" and "Used Duration" are already specified for a CWO or task, then the system automatically calculates the "To Date" and "To Time".
If the date on which the actual details are being reported is a holiday, as defined in the "Holiday Master" activity in "Time Management" business component or in “Common Master” business component, then you are required to enter the “From Time” and “To Time” for that day. In case you are reporting for a date range and this range includes a holiday, then you have to specify the actual details for the holiday as a separate line in the “Utilization Details for the Period” multiline.
The system displays the following fields on clicking the “Report Resource Actuals” pushbutton:
CWO Description |
The textual description of the component work order. |
Task Description |
The textual description of the task for which the resource is used. |
Last Updated Date |
The date on which the details were last updated. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to mark the CWO task, to view the work center, resource or component work order details.
Click the “Report Resource Actuals - Facilities” pushbutton at the bottom of the page, to update the resource details.
Note: If any CWO is newly reported in the multiline, the system performs the following:
a. ensures that the facility object for which the CWO was created is in “Active” status and in “Serviceable” condition as on the current system date and time, as defined in the “Facility Management” business component.
b. ensures that the due date for maintenance is later than the To Date and Time, if the maintenance of the facility object is set to mandatory in the “Facility Management” business component.
Note: The system retrieves the facility object cost details from the “Facility Management” business component, if available. Else, the system retrieves the cost details from the “Work Center” business component.
The system updates the resource actuals for the task or component work order and changes the status to “Inprogress”, if the CWO or task is in “Scheduled” status.
If the transient status of a CWO is “Hold” and the "Allow reporting of CWO’s which are on “Hold” option is set as “No” in the “Component Work Order” business component, then the resource actuals of "held" component work orders will not be updated.

Select the “View Facilities Details” link at the bottom of the page, to view the resource details for the selected component work order.

Reporting CWO or task details for the resource - An overview
This page allows you to enter the utililzation details that you need to update for the selected resource facility other than skill. You can update the resource actuals on a task level or on a component work order level. You can update the resource details for a component work order, which is in “Scheduled” status. You can enter the total duration for which the resource was used. You can specify the period for which the resource was used, by entering the starting date and time and ending date and time.

If a large number of tasks in the multiline have the same start or end date and time, you can enter the default date and time values. The system updates the date and time fields in the multiline (if they are left blank) with the default values.
Enter the start date of the task in the “Default Start Date” field.
Enter the start time of the task in the “Default Start Time” field.
Enter the end date of the task in the “Default End Date” field.
Enter the end time of the task in the “Default End Time” field.
Enter the CWO task details in the multiline. You can leave the date and time fields blank.
On clicking the “Report Resource Actuals - Facilities” pushbutton, the system updates the date and time fields of the tasks, which are left blank in the multiline, with the default values.
