Recording spare parts fitment information
In this page, the parts and the quantity of spare part consumed. Tell me more.
Select the "Record Part Fitment" link in the "Report parts consumption information” page.
The "Record Part Fitment Information" page appears.
Note: You can update the spare part information only for those parts which are either “Serial Controlled” or “Lot Controlled”.
The system displays the following:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component by default. |
The system displays the following in the “CWO Details” group box:
Comp. Work Order # |
The number that identifies the component work order. |
Component # |
The number that identifies the component on which the CWO is generated. |
CWO Description |
The textual description of the component. Zoom facility available. |
Part # |
The part number of the component on which the CWO is generated. |
Note: The system displays only those parts which are either “Serial Controlled” or “Lot Controlled”. |

Serial # |
The serial number of the component on which the CWO is generated. |
Work Center # |
The number that identifies the work center where the task is executed. |
Task # |
The number that identifies the task. |
Task Description |
The textual description of the task. Zoom facility available. |
The system displays the following in the “Spare Part Details” group box:
Spare Part # |
The spare part selected in the “Report Parts Consumption Information” page. |
Part Description |
The textual description of the spare part. Zoom facility available. |
Used Quantity |
The quantity of the part used. |
Enter the following in the “Default Details” group box:
Def. Date of Attachment |
The date on which the spare part is attached to the respective position code (Date Format). The date entered here must be earlier or equal to the server date and must not be earlier than the scheduled start date of the corresponding task/CWO.. The system displays the current server date by default. |
Note: If the “Date of Attachment” field is left blank in the multiline, the system sets “Def. Date of Attachment” in the respective multiline column. This type of updation is done, when several spare parts are attached to the position codes on the same date.
The system displays the following in the “Part Fitment Details” group box:
Part Serial # |
The serial number of the spare part to be placed in the position code. |
Lot # |
The number identifying the lot to which the spare part serial number belongs. |
Enter the following fields:
Position Number |
Use the drop-down list box to select the position code to which the spare part must be fitted. The system displays all the “active” position numbers defined in the “Configuration” business component The position code selected must be unique in the multiline. |
Date Of Attachment |
The date on which the spare part is attached to the aircraft configuration (Date Format). Data entry in this mandatory if the “Def. Date of Attachment” field is left blank. The date entered here must be earlier or equal to the server date and must not be earlier than the scheduled start date for the corresponding task / CWO. |
Comments |
Any general comments or remarks regarding the attachment of spare part in the position code (Alphanumeric, 255). |
Note: The number of position code specified in the multiline must be equal to number displayed in the “Used Quantity” field.
Click the “Record Part Fitment” pushbutton to update the spare part fitment details.
Click the hyperlinked task description in the multiline to view task information.
Note: The system updates the new serial number, lot number, date of attachment, comments, component work order number and organization unit for the component in the “Configuration” business component.
The system also ensures that the date specified in the “Def. Date of Attachment” field in the “Default Details” group box is not earlier than the date specified in the “Back Dated Reporting Time Limit” in “Set Options” activity.
Recording spare part fitment information – An overview
In this page, you can update the quantity of spare part consumed while executing a task or component work order for a part, which is either serial-controlled or lot-controlled. You can also add or modify the position code details for the part of type “Spares”.
The system displays the serial number and lot number of the spare part in the multiline and you can enter the position code where the serial number of the spare part is attached, and the date on which the spare part is attached to the position code. You are also provided with the option of specifying the default date of attachment while associating multiple spare part to the position code.
The system updates the details of the position codes for the spare part in the “configuration” business component.

You can specify the position code to which the spare part is fitted while executing the component work order. The position code selected must be unique. The system updates the details of the position code for the spare part in the “configuration” in the business component.
Select the appropriate position code for the spare part in the “Position Number” field.
