Selecting CWO for viewing assignments and plan
This page allows you to select a component work order for viewing the resource, employee assignment and material plan details. Tell me more.
Select the “View Component Work Order Plan” link under the “Component Work Order” business component.
The “Select Work Order” page appears.
The system displays the following field:
Date Format |
The format in which the date field is displayed. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user id. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component by default. |
Enter the following field in the “Direct Entry” group box if you know the CWO number for which the assignment and material plan details must be viewed:
Comp. Work Order # |
The number identifying the component work order for which the employee / resource assignment and material plan details must be viewed (Alphanumeric, 18). |
Click the “View CWO Details” link provided alongside to view details of the component work order.
To search for a component work order
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for the component work order. Data entry in the following fields is optional:
Comp. Work Order # |
The number of the component work order for which you wish to view the assignment and plan details (Alphanumeric, 18). You can enter the CWO number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all CWO numbers that are similar to the number entered here. |
Maintenance Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the maintenance type of the component work order. The system lists “Inspection”, “Overhaul”, “Repair” and “Others”. The system retrieves the CWO number of the type specified here. By default, this field is left blank. |
Leave this field blank to retrieve the CWOs irrespective of their maintenance type. | |
Job Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the job type of the component work order. The system displays the options “Component”, “Receipt-Inspection”, “Facility”, “Piece Part”, “Make”, “Project” and “Miscellaneous”.The system retrieves details of component work orders that belong to the selected job type. This field is set to “Component” by default. |
Make/Piece Part # |
The number identifying the make part or piece part (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all CWO numbers raised for the part number entered here. |
Part # |
The part number to which the component belongs (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the part number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all CWO numbers in which the part number is similar to the value entered here. |
Component # |
The number identifying the component against which the CWO is raised (Alphanumeric, 90). You can enter the component number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all CWO numbers in which the component numbers are similar to the value entered here. |
CWO Category |
Use the drop-down list box to select the CWO category. The system lists all the ‘active’ quick codes of type “CWO Category” defined in the “Create Quick Codes” activity. The system retrieves the CWO number of the category specified here. Leave this field blank to retrieve the CWOs irrespective of their category. |
Work Center # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the work center, which is responsible for the CWO execution. The system lists all the ‘active’ work centers that are associated with the login organizational unit and for which the login user has access rights. The system retrieves the CWO number of the work center specified here. By default, this field is left blank. |
Leave this field blank to retrieve the CWOs irrespective of their work center. | |
CWO Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the CWO for which the assignment and plan details must be viewed. The system lists the following options: |

User Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the user status of the CWO. The system lists all the ‘active’ quick codes of the type “User Status” defined in the “Add Quick Codes” activity. The system retrieves the CWO number of the user status specified here. By default, this field is left blank. |
Leave this field blank to retrieve the CWOs irrespective of their user status. | |
Planned Date: From |
The date on which the component work order execution is planned to be started (Date Format). |
Planned Date: To |
The date on which the component work order execution is planned to be completed (Date Format). |
Note: Ensure that the date entered in the “Planned Date: From” is not later than the date entered in the “Planned Date: To” field.
If you have left all the fields blank, the system retrieves all the component work orders created in the login organizational unit.
Click the “Search” pushbutton to display the search results.
The system displays the following fields in the “Search Results” multiline based on the filter criteria entered:

The number identifying the component work order for which the assignments and plan details must be viewed. |
Part # |
The part number to which the component belongs. |
Serial # |
The serial number of the component against which the work order is raised. |
Work Center # |
The work center that is responsible for component work order execution. |
CWO Status |
The status of the component work order, which could be “Fresh”, “Scheduled”, "Authorized", “In-Progress”, “Completed”, "Pre-Closed" or "Closed". |
Maintenance Type |
The maintenance type to which the component work order belongs. |
Currency |
The currency in which the cost incurred on the CWO is displayed. |
Resource Cost |
The cost of resource estimated for the CWO. |
Material Cost |
The cost of material estimated for the CWO. |
Total Cost |
The total cost estimated for the CWO. |
CWO Description |
The textual description of the component work order. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the component work order for viewing the resource assignment, employee assignment, material plan or material request details.
To proceed, carry out the following
Select the “View Resource Assignments” link at the bottom of the page to view the resource assignment details for the selected component work order.
Select the “View Employee Assignments” link at the bottom of the page to view the employee assignment details for the selected component work order.
Select the “View Material Plan” link at the bottom of the page to view the material planned for the execution of the selected CWO.
Select the “View Material Request” link at the bottom of the page to view the material request associated to the CWO.
Selecting CWO for viewing assignments and plan – An overview
In this page, you can select a component work order for viewing the resource or employee assignment and material plan details. Component work orders that are in the “Fresh”, “Authorized”, “Scheduled”, “In-Progress”, "Completed", "Pre-Closed" and "Closed" status can be retrieved in this page.
If you know the CWO number, you can directly enter it. Otherwise, you can carry out a search based on the CWO number, maintenance type, job type, make / piece part number, part number, component number, CWO category, work center, status, user status and the range of planned start and end dates. Details such as component work order number, part number, serial number of the component, work center, CWO status, maintenance type, currency, the cost that will be incurred on the resource, material cost, total cost and CWO description are displayed.
