Viewing preliminary inspection findings – An overview
After the component work order is created, the defective component or piece part is taken to the shop and subjected to inspection. The inspection is carried out to confirm the discrepancies reported on the component or piece part. If any of the child components attached to the component’s configuration is found defective during inspection, those discrepancy details can also be entered into the system. This is done in the “Report Inspection Findings” activity. You can view the details of these inspection findings in this page.
The CWO details, component removal details and inspection findings are displayed.
The system also displays whether the inspection findings are confirmed or not, the user who inspected the defective component, the date on which the component was inspected, license of the inspector, cost of refurbishment, currency and any other observation made on the defective component.
