Scheduling tasks/work orders with Gantt chart
The Gantt chart enables you to schedule or view the progress/execution of a work order or tasks in a component work order. However, you cannot advance or postpone the schedule of a work order/task with “In-Progress” or “Hold” status.
For the work center, aircraft and visit package combination, you can view the graphical representation of the progress of the work orders and tasks based on schedules. The chart displays timelines in days, indicating the planned start date and end date of each work order or task.
Any change made in the schedule of work orders/tasks in the Gantt chart is reflected in the multiline of the Work Order Details tab page. Likewise, the Gantt chart automatically alters to reflect the changes made to the tasks/work order schedules in the Work Order Details tab page.
Select the "Gantt Chart" tab in the Schedule/Reschedule Work Orders page.
Drag and drop bars in the Gantt chart to advance or postpone individual tasks in a hangar work order or a hangar work order in totality.
Hierarchy of work order
If the Display Option is specified as “By Task”, the Gantt chart displays individual bars and timelines for tasks in the work order. The hierarchy of the work order appears in the left pane in the following way:
The primary center in which the work order is executed followed by the work order with the individual tasks listed under the work order.
When the Display Option is “By Work Order”, the Gantt chart displays individual bars and timelines for all the hangar work orders in the primary work center of the hangar work order. The hierarchy of the work order will be as follows,
The primary work centers followed by the work orders scheduled for execution in the work centers
Columns in the left pane display the following information for a work order,
% of completed jobs
# of planned jobs
# of unplanned jobs
# of deferred jobs
Color indicators
The color of the bar in the Gantt chart indicates the following status with their respective colors of the work order/task.
Light green represents work orders/tasks in “Fresh” status
Dark green represents work orders/tasks in “Scheduled” status
Orange represents work orders/tasks in “In-Progress” status
Blue flags in a bar imply the work order/task is in “Hold” status. For example, if Blue flags appear in a Light Green colored bar, it means the work order/task was put on hold when in Fresh status. Likewise, Blue flags in an Orange flag means the work order/task was put on hold when in-progress.
To proceed, carry out the following
Select the “Work Order Details” tab, to update the work order details.
