Selecting CWO for assigning employees
You can select a component work order in this page to assign employees. Tell me more.
Select the “Assign Employees” link under the “Component Work Order” business component.
The “Select Component Work Order” page appears.
The system displays the following field:
Date Format |
The format in which the date field is displayed. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user id. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component by default. |
Enter the following field in the “Direct Entry” group box if you know the CWO number for which the you wish to assign employees:
Comp. Work Order # |
The number identifying the component work order to which you wish to assign employees (Alphanumeric, 18). |
Select the “Assign Employees” link provided alongside to assign employees to the component work order.

To search for a component work order
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for the component work order. Data entry in the following fields is optional:
Comp. Work Order # |
The number of the component work order to which you wish to assign employees (Alphanumeric, 18). You can enter the CWO number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all CWO numbers that are similar to the number entered here. |
Work Center # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the work center, which is responsible for the CWO execution. The system lists all the ‘active’ work centers that are associated with the login organizational unit and for which the login user has access rights. The system retrieves the CWO number of the work center specified here. |
Leave this field blank if you wish to retrieve the CWO irrespective of the work center. | |
Maintenance Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the component work order. The system lists the options “Inspection”, “Repair”, “Overhaul” and “Others”. Apart from this, the system also retrieves the predefined maintenance types. The system retrieves the CWO number of the maintenance type specified here. |
Leave this field blank if you wish to retrieve the CWO irrespective of the CWO type. | |
CWO Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the CWO. The system lists the following options: |

Part # |
The part number to which the component belongs (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the part number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all CWO numbers in which the part number is similar to the value entered here. |
Component # |
The number identifying the component against which the CWO is raised (Alphanumeric, 90). You can enter the component number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all CWO numbers in which the component number is similar to the value entered here. |
CWO Category |
Use the drop-down list box to select the CWO category. The system lists all the ‘active’ quick codes of type "CWO category“ defined in the “Create Quick Codes” activity. The system retrieves the CWO number of the category specified here. Leave this field blank if you wish to retrieve the CWO irrespective of the category. |
User Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the user status of the CWO. The system lists all the ‘active’ quick codes of the type “User Status” defined in the “Create Quick Codes” activity. The system retrieves the CWO number of the user status specified here. |
Leave this field blank if you wish to retrieve the CWO irrespective of the user status. | |
Planned Date: From |
The date on which the component work order execution is planned to be started (Date Format). |
Planned Date: To |
The date on which the component work order execution is planned to be completed (Date Format). |
Note: Ensure that the date entered in the “Planned Date: From” is not later than the date entered in the “Planned Date: To” field.
If you have left all the fields blank, then the system retrieves all the component work orders created in the login organizational unit, which are in the “Scheduled” or “In-Progress” status.
Click the “Search” pushbutton to display the search results.
The system displays the following fields in the “Search Results” multiline based on the filter criteria entered:

The number identifying the component work order retrieved by the system. |
Task # |
The task associated to the component work order. |
Part # |
The part number to which the component belongs. |
Serial # |
The serial number of the component against which the component work order is raised. |
Work Center # |
The work center that is responsible for component work order execution. |
CWO Status |
The status of the CWO, which could be “Scheduled” or “In-Progress”. |
Task Status |
The status of the task associated to the component work order. |
Maintenance Type |
The maintenance type to which the component work order belongs. |
Employees Assigned? |
The system displays “Yes” or “No” to indicate whether employees have been already assigned to the component work order. |
% Completed |
The percentage of maintenance work completed on the component. |
Task Description |
The textual description of the task associated to the component work order. |
CWO Description |
The textual description of the component work order. |

Selecting CWO for assigning employees – An overview
The component work order to which you wish to assign the employees can be selected in this page. Only component work orders that are in the “Scheduled” or “In-Progress” status can be retrieved in this page for assigning employees.
You can search for a CWO by specifying the search criteria such as CWO number, work center, maintenance type, status, part number, component number, cost head, user status and the range of planned start and end dates. Details such as component work order number, task number, part number, serial number of the component, work center, CWO status, task status, CWO type, task description and CWO description are displayed. Details such as whether the employees are already assigned to the CWO or not and the percentage of work completed are also displayed.
