Processing Reliability Data for Fleet #
In this page, you can process the reliability data for fleet by calculating the alert value. The system displays fleet details such as the fleet number, reliability calendar code, the validity of the reliability and the last uploaded date. The period number is also displayed in the multiline.
Select the “Process Reliability Data for Fleet #” link under the “Select Fleet” page.
The “Process Reliability Data for Fleet #” page appears.
The system displays the following field:
Date Format
|
The format in which the date and time fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date and time format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default. |
The system displays the following field in the “Fleet Details”:
Fleet # |
A unique number assigned to the fleet. |
Reliability Calendar# |
The number identifying the reliability calendar. |
Calendar Valid From Month – Year |
The year and month from which the reliability calendar starts. |
Calendar Valid To Month – Year |
The year and month in which the reliability calendar ends. |
Last Uploaded Date |
The date in which the reliability record was last uploaded. |
The system displays the following the in the “Period Details” multiline.
Period # |
A unique number identifying the period. |
Valid From Month-Year |
The year and month from which the reliability calendar starts |
Valid To Month-Year |
The year and month on which the reliability calendar ends. |
Last Calculated Date |
The date on which the reliability alert for the fleet was last calculated. |
Check the “Calculate Alert Value” pushbutton to create the alert value for Fleet.
The system calculates the Monthly Alert Value and the Reliability Alert from the details available in the “Reliability Set Up” repository for all ATA numbers, for the selected calendar fleet and period.
Monthly Alert Value Defect Rate
Number of discrepancies reported for the respective period * 100 / Period Flying Hours
If the selected period is the last period defined for the calendar fleet:
Reliability Alert is calculated as,
D * Multiple for the service level selected in Set Options * B
Where, D is the mean defect rate for the calendar and B is the standard deviation.
D = R / Number of Periods
Where, R is the sum of defect rate for all periods existing in the calendar.
B = Square root of A
A = J / M
J = H - K
Where, H is the sum of the square of defect rate for all respective periods.
K = Q / Number of periods
Where, Q is the square of the sum of defect rate
M = Number of periods - 1
The system calculates the Monthly Alert Value, Reliability Alert Value, MTBF, MTBUR, and MTBR for all the selected part numbers, ATA number and period.
Monthly Reliability Alert Value or PPR:
Number of removals reported for the respective period * 100 / Unit per aircraft * Flying Hours
If the selected period is the last period defined for the calendar fleet:
Reliability Alert Value is calculated as,
D + Multiple for the service as selected in the set options * B
Where, D is the Mean PRR for the Calendar.
D = R / Number of periods
Where, R is the sum of PRR of all the periods existing in the calendar.
B = Square root of A
Where, B is the standard deviation.
A = J / M
J = H - K
Where, H is the sum of the square of PRR for all respective periods.
K = Q / Number of periods
Where, Q is the square of the sum of PRR.
M = Number of periods - 1
MTBF is calculated as,
Total Aircraft Flying Hours * Number of units per aircraft / Number of confirmed failures for all the serial numbers with the respective part number
MTBUR is calculated as,
Total Aircraft Flying Hours till the selected period * Number of units per aircraft / Number of unscheduled removals for all the serial numbers with the respective part number
MTBR is calculated as,
Total Aircraft Flying Hours till the selected period * Number of units per aircraft / Number of removals of all the serial numbers with the respective part number
For the IFSD details, the system maintains the ATA number for the fleet calendar, list of aircraft registration numbers along with the IFSD details such as position code, IFSD date and time, time zone, shutdown type, Iinflight restart date and time, time zone for restart, from the reliability setup repository. This is done month-wise for all parts of type ‘Engine’.
