Reviewing MTBF / MTBUR details
In this page, you can review the values of the mean time between failures and the mean time between unscheduled removals. Tell me more.
Click the hyperlinked component number in the “Select Part #” page.
The “Review MTBF / MTBUR Details” page appears.
The system displays the following:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields must be entered. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default. |
The system displays the following fields in the “Component Details” group box:
Part # |
The number identifying the part. |
Serial # |
The serial number of the component. |
Component Id |
The number identifying the component. |
Component Type |
The type to which the component belongs, which could be “Engine”, “APU”, “Landing Gear” or “Others”. |
Supplier Part # |
The code identifying the supplier part number. |
Supplier # |
The number that identifies the supplier whose details you need to monitor. |
Supplier Name |
The name of the supplier. Zoom facility available |
Enter the following in the “Agreement Details” group box.
Month |
Use the drop-down list box to select the month for which the MTBF, MTBUR and MTBR details are to be viewed. |
Year |
Use the drop down list box to select the year for which the MTBF, MTBUR and MTBR details are to be viewed. |
Agreement # |
A unique number identifying the part warranty agreement. This number is generated and displayed by the system, when you click the “Create Agreement” pushbutton. The part warranty agreement number is generated based on the numbering type selected. |
Amendment # |
The number identifying the amendment made to the part warranty agreement (Integer). |
Click the “Get Details” push button to display the results:
The system displays the following fields in the “Agreement Details” group box:
Agreement Desc |
The textual description of the part warranty agreement. Zoom facility available |
Agreement Category |
The category to which the agreement belongs. |
Start Date |
The date from which the warranty coverage starts for the component (Date Format). |
End Date |
The date after which the warranty coverage ends for the component (Date Format). |
The system displays the following the in the “MTBF/MTBUR Details” multiline.
Detail |
The warranty agreement value. |
MTBF |
The Mean Time Between Failure (Decimal). This is the average time that a component works without failure. It is calculated by dividing the total number of failures into the total number of operating hours observed. This value must be greater than zero. |
MTBUR |
The Mean Time Between Unscheduled Removals (Decimal). This is the total unit flying hours during the time period, divided by the number of unscheduled removals that occurred during the same period. |
MTBR |
The Mean Time Between Removals (Decimal). This is the total unit flying hours during the time period, divided by the number of removals that occurred during the same period. |
Note: The system displays the warranty agreement value in the first row and the calculated value in the second row of the “Detail” field.
Click the “Create Component Warranty Claim” pushbutton to create the component warranty claim.
Reviewing MTBF/MTBUR details – An overview
In this page, you can review the values of the mean time between failures and the mean time between unscheduled removals. You can select the month and the year for which the agreement and amendment details are to be viewed. You can also enter the amendment and the agreement codes to retrieve the warranty agreement and the calculated values in the mutliline. The start date and the end date of the agreement details are displayed. The MTBF, MTBUR and the MTBR values are also displayed.
Create the Component Warranty Claim
You can enter the agreement details such as the agreement number, textual description of the agreement, the category to which the agreement belongs.
Enter the agreement details in the “Component Details” group box..
Create the Component Warranty Claim
You can create the component warranty claim for the selected part based on the component details.
Click the “Create Component Warranty Claim” pushbutton after entering the component details.
