Maintaining Shift/Duty
This page enables to create and modify the shift/duty details that are used in the roster schedule of the mechanics / pilots.
Select the “Maintain Shift/Duty” activity under the “Roster Management” business component.
The “Maintain Shift/Duty” page appears.
Enter the following fields in the “Maintain Shift/Duty” group box:
Shift/Duty # |
The number identifying the Shift/Duty of the employee. |
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the Shift/Duty. The system lists the values ‘Active’, ‘Inactive’ along with a blank value. The system displays the value ‘Active’, by default. |
Click the “Get Details” pushbutton to retrieve the details in the multiline based on the filter criteria provided.
Enter the following fields in the “Shift/Duty Details” multiline:
Shift/Duty # |
The number identifying the Shift/Duty of the employee. Mandatory. |
The system displays the following field:
Shift/Duty # Display Name |
The name of the Shift/Duty of the employee. It should allow only maximum of 4 char to enter. The entered shift/duty # only displaying in the roster schedules. |
Enter the following fields:
Description |
The textual description of the Shift/Duty #. Mandatory. |
Color |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the color for the Shift/Duty # selected. |
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the Shift/Duty which could be ‘Active’ or ‘Inactive’. |
Start Time |
The start time of the Shift/Duty #. |
End Time |
The end time of the Shift/Duty #. |
Break Timings |
Indicates whether break time is permitted during shift / duty. Displays Defined or Not Defined. You can click the data hyperlink to open the “Maintain Shift / Duty Break Timings” popup. |
Effective From |
The date from which the Shift/Duty # is effective. Mandatory. |
Effective To |
The date until which the Shift/Duty # is effective. |
Shift/Duty Category |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the category for which the Shift/Duty # is defined. The system lists all the active quick codes defined under the Entity ‘Roster Management’ and Quick Code Type ‘Shift/Duty Category’ in the “Manage Quick Code” activity of the “Common Master” business component. |

The system displays the following fields:
Created By |
The name of the user who created the Shift/Duty #. |
Created Date |
The date on which the Shift/Duty # was created. |
Last Modified By |
The name of the user who last modified the Shift/Duty #. |
Last Modified Date |
The date on which the Shift/Duty # was last modified. |
Click the “Save” pushbutton to save the Shift/Duty # entered with the details.
