Release Forecast – A summary of the activity

The forecast generated has to be “Released” for the execution of the maintenance requirements. Component maintenance planner looks into the visit packages generated and due for execution, component shop loads and shop capabilities, before releasing the forecast.

Release forecast

This activity allows you to release the forecast for performing the maintenance activities on the components. You can search for the forecast, which you need to release. The status of the forecast changes to "Released" and the work units attain the status "Pending".

Cancel forecast

You can also cancel the forecast in this activity. The forecast is not available for future reference after cancellation. The forecast should not contain any jobs with the status "Allotted" during cancellation. The status of the forecast changes to "Cancelled".

Bulk release or cancellation

You are provided with the facility of releasing or canceling the forecasts in bulk in this activity.
