Release forecast
This page allows you to release forecast for component maintenance. Tell me more.
Select the "Release Forecast" link under the "Component Maintenance Planning" business component.
The "Release Component Forecast" appears.
The system displays the following field:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields must be entered in this page This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" component based on the login user ID. If the format is not defined, the system will display the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” component by default. |
Enter the following fields in the "Search Criteria" group box:
Forecast # |
The number identifying the forecast that must be released (Alphanumeric, 18). You can enter the forecast number in full, or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the forecast numbers that are similar to the number entered here. |
User Status |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the user status of the forecast. The system lists all the user status defined for the forecast in the "Create Quick Codes" activity. The system retrieves the forecast numbers for the user status specified here. The system leaves this field blank by default. |
From Date |
The starting date in the range of dates, during which the forecast was raised (Date Format). Ensure that the date entered is earlier than or equal to the system date. |
To Date |
The ending date in the range of dates, during which the forecast was raised (Date Format). Ensure that the date entered is earlier than or equal to the system date. |
Planner Group # |
The number of the planner group which created the forecast (Alphanumeric, 18) You can enter the planner group number in full, or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the planner group numbers that are similar to the number entered here. |
Date Basis |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the date option by which the system will execute the search. The system lists the options "Start Date" and "End Date". The system leaves this field blank by default. |
Click the "Search" pushbutton to display the search results.
Note: The system retrieves only "Active" forecasts in the multiline.
The system displays the following fields in the "Search Results" multiline:

Enter the following field below the multiline:
Select All |
Check this option to release or cancel all the forecasts listed in the multiline. |
Note: Ensure that atleast one forecast is selected in the multiline if the "Select All" box is unchecked.
Click the "Release Forecast" pushbutton to release the forecast.
The status of the forecast is changed to "Released". The job status of the maintenance type, work unit type or the work unit is changed to "Pending".
The system copies the expense type of the work units from the component maintenance program into the pending tray.
The work units/tasks included in the forecast are transferred to the pending tray for execution at the scheduled time.
Click the "Cancel Forecast" pushbutton to cancel the forecast.
Note: The forecast selected for cancellation should not contain any maintenance type or work unit with the job status "Allotted".
If the “Release of Forecast – Is Mandatory (Yes/No)” field is set to “Yes” in the “Set Options” activity, then the system deletes the selected forecast and its corresponding work units from the pending tray.
The status of the forecast is changed to "Cancelled".
