Managing Schedule Adjustment for Components
Select the “Manage Schedule Adjustments for Components” under the “Component Maintenance Program” business component.
The “Manage Schedule Adjustments for Components” page appears.
Select the part in the “Part Details” group box for which you want to create / update schedule adjustment.

The part for which you want to adjust schedules. Note: The part you have specified here

The Manage Part-Component Schedules Adjustment group box displays the following:
Part Description |
The description of the part for which you want to adjust schedules. |
PRG Defined? |
Indicates whether Active maintenance program exists for the part. Displays DEFINED, if maintenance program has been defined for the part. Displays NOT DEFINED, if maintenance program has not been defined for the part. |
In the Manage Part-Component Schedules Adjustment group box, specify the following:
Schedule Adjustment At |
Use the drop-down list box to select the level at which you wish to adjust schedules for the part. The drop-down list box displays the following: Model, Position Based, Operator, Model :: Operator and Operator :: Position Based. Note: You must select a value in this field since it indicates the level at which you want to adjust maintenance schedules. |
To create schedule adjustment records, you can proceed to enter details in the “Schedule Adjustment Details” multiline. Alternately, to update schedule adjustment records, you must retrieve the required records by specifying search criteria and then modify fields in the “Schedule Adjustment Details” multiline.
To retrieve Schedule Adjustment records
Enter the following fields in the "Search Criteria" group box.
Model # |
To retrieve schedule adjustments for the part against specific aircraft model #, enter the model #. The search retrieves all schedule adjustments for the part in the Fresh status against the model #. See Conditional availability of fields based on Schedule Adjustment Help facility available |
Configuration Class |
To retrieve schedule adjustments for the part against aircraft models associated with specific configuration class, select the configuration class from the drop-down list box. See Conditional availability of fields based on Schedule Adjustment |
Position Code # |
To retrieve schedule adjustments for the part against specific position code, specify the position code. See Conditional availability of fields based on Schedule Adjustment |
Operator # |
To retrieve schedule adjustments for the part against specific operator, specify the operator #. See Conditional availability of fields based on Schedule Adjustment |
To record / update details of schedule adjustments
Enter the following in the “Schedule Adjustment Details” multiline.
Model # |
The model # for which the maintenance schedule adjustment for the part was created. See Conditional availability of fields based on Schedule AdjustmentHelp facility available |
Configuration Class |
Use the drop-down list box to select the configuration class of the aircraft model for which maintenance schedule adjustment for the part was created. The drop-down list box displays all the Active configuration classes defined in the Configuration business component. See Conditional availability of fields based on Schedule Adjustment |
Position Code # |
The position code for which the maintenance schedule adjustment for the part was created. See Conditional availability of fields based on Schedule Adjustment Note: This field will not be available, if you have selected “Model” in the Schedule Adjustment At drop-down list box. |
Operator # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the operator for which the maintenance schedule adjustment for the part was created. See Conditional availability of fields based on Schedule Adjustment |
The “Schedule Adjustment Details” multiline displays the following:
Status |
The status of the Schedule Adjustment record. |
Schedule Info? |
Displays DEFINED, if schedule information has been recorded for the part. Displays NOT DEFINED, if schedule information has been recorded for the part. Click here to open the “Edit Schedule Information” page. You can then update schedule details for the part. |
Date Based Sch. |
Displays DEFINED, if date based schedules have been defined for the part. Displays NOT DEFINED, if date based schedules have not been defined for the part. Click here to open the “Edit Date Based Schedule Information” page. You can then update details of the date based schedules for the part. |
Usage Based Sch. |
Displays DEFINED, if usage based schedules have been defined for the part. Displays NOT DEFINED, if usage based schedules have not been defined for the part. Click here to open the “Edit Usage Based Schedule Information” page. You can then update details of the usage based schedules for the part. |
Aircraft Effectivity |
Displays ALL, if aircraft-specific position based restrictions are not applicable for aircraft effectivity. Displays RESTRICTED, if aircraft-specific position based restrictions are applicable for aircraft effectivity. Click here to open the Define Aircraft Effectivity page. You can then update details of the aircraft effectivity based on schedule adjustments. Note: This field will not be available, if you have selected “Model” in the Schedule Adjustment At drop-down list box. |
Enter the following in the “Schedule Adjustment Details” multiline.
Remarks |
Additional information on the schedule adjustment. Note: The remarks entered here will be updated in the component maintenance program on schedule adjustment inheritance. If no remarks is specified, the remarks in the component maintenance program will be retained upon inheritance. |
The “Schedule Adjustment Details” multiline displays the following:
Created Date |
The date on which the record was created. |
Created By |
The login user who created the record. |
Modified Date |
The date on which the record was last modified. |
Modified By |
The login user who last modified the record. |
To ensure that the part schedule adjustments are copied to the maintenance program of the components attached to aircraft, select the Inherit Changes to Attached Component check box. By default the check box remains selected.
Note: Only Active schedule Adjustment will be inherited by the components attached to aircraft. However, for components not currently attached to aircraft, schedule adjustments will be carried upon component attachments in future.
Click the “Save” pushbutton to save the entered details.
Note: The status of the record becomes Fresh upon saving the details.
Click the “Activate” pushbutton to activate the schedule adjusted maintenance program.
Note: You can activate an Adjustment record only after saving the record details. The status of the record becomes Active after it is made Active.
Click the “Inactivate” pushbutton to inactivate the schedule adjusted maintenance program.
The system performs the following after the record is made Inactive:
Sets the status of the record as Inactive
Updates the schedules for the schedule adjusted components based on the option "Impact on Sch. Adj. Change" defined in the Set Options activity of Component Maintenance Program
o If the "Impact on Sch. Adj. Change" option is set as "Retain Existing Schedules", the system retains the existing schedules for the scheduled adjusted task in component program.
o If the "Impact on Sch. Adj. Change" option is set as "Reset to Template Schedules", the system resets the existing schedules for the schedule adjusted tasks in the component program based on the part program.
