This page allow you to  add or modify the details of the parts required for executing the work unit. Tell me more.

The “Estimate Material Requirement” page appears.

The system displays the following fields in the “Component Details” group box:

Part #

The number identifying the part to which the component belongs

Part Description

The textual description of part.

Serial #

The serial number of the component.

Component #

The number identifying the component for which the spare part details are to be updated.

Maintenance Process

Indicates the maintenance process associated with the part, which could be “Hard-Time”, “On-Condition” or “Condition Monitoring”.

CMP Status

The status of the component maintenance program, which could be “Fresh” or “Authorized”.

Revision #

The revision number of the component maintenance program.

Work unit #

Use the drop-down list box to select the work unit for which the part requirement must be specified. The system lists all the work units that have been defined for the component maintenance program and prefixes it with “TSK”, “SP” or “WP” based on the type of the work unit.

The system displays the following after you click the “Get Details” pushbutton:

Work Unit Desc

The description of the task, standard procedure or work package.

Maintenance Type

The type of the maintenance activity to be carried out.

Work Center #

The number identifying the work center where the work unit is performed.

Work Center Description

The textual description of the work center.

Part #

The number identifying the part required for executing the work unit (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory. The part should have already been defined in the "Create Parts Main Information” activity of the “Part Administration” business component and must be in the “Active” status.

Note: In the event of modifying the already associated part number, the system displays an error message.

The system displays the following field after you click the "Edit Material Estimates” pushbutton:

Part Type

The type of the part involved in the CMP.

Part Description

The textual description of the part.

UOM

The unit of measurement of the part (Alphanumeric, 10). The unit of measurement must be a valid “Active” UOM for the part defined in the “Unit Of Measurement Administration” business component or you can enter any valid UOM defined for the part in the “Maintain UOM Conversions” activity of the “Part Administration” business component.

Reqd. Qty

The required quantity of the spare part to execute the work package (Decimal). Mandatory. Ensure that the number entered in this field is positive.

Warehouse #

The number identifying the warehouse where the part is required (Alphanumeric, 10). The warehouse should have already been defined in the "Create Warehouse Information” activity of the “Storage Administration” business component and must be in the “Active” status. Ensure that the part is associated with the warehouse.

If you have not selected any warehouse, the system displays the default warehouse mapped to the work center of the CMP through a single component work order.

The system displays the following field after you click the “Edit Material Estimates” pushbutton:

Part Cost

The cost of the part as defined in the “Part Administration” business component.

Edit Component Maintenance Program - A summary of the activity

You can add or modify the details of the parts required for executing the work unit in this page. On specifying the part number, the system displays the part type and description and allows you to modify the unit of measurement, required quantity and the warehouse in which the part must be issued. The part details are updated and the system sets the current server date as the last modified date, by default.
